I was very impressed with how communicative and reachable the owner was. The place looks even better than the pictures. Very comfortable, amazing sunsets from the roof deck. Great location - close to the beach, as well as a small commercial strip with restaurants, coffee shops, some retail. I stayed for over 30 days, and was very sad when I had to leave.

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful little gem for a week and had an absolutely wonderful time! We thought it was in an absolutely ideal location, charmingly decorated, well kept, and really nice amenities. Two things we really appreciate are a great bed and shower, and this home provided both! It was also immaculately clean, which of course we also appreciate very much. The neighborhood was exceptionally quiet and pretty, and we loved walking down to the coffee shop and water ever day. It had wonderful access to downtown LaJolla as well as other towns along the coast that were great to visit. We also loved popping into downtown San Diego to see the sites. The owner was very attentive and we will definitely be back for another visit! Thank you for letting us enjoy your little piece of paradise!

I spent six weeks in this fabulous little unit just a few blocks from the beach and close to everything. The owner was super attentive to my needs and everything worked wonderfully. I must point out that the bed was more comfortable than my bed at home, slept wonderfully every night. The unit is exceptionally quiet except for the distant waves from the ocean. The roof top patio is a great place for sunset cocktails or a sunny lunch. You are only a few blocks from the north end of Pacific Beach where I took a five mile walk every day! Perhaps the high point of my trip. Bird Rock is a wonderful neighborhood with great coffee houses, surf shops, yoga studios and lots of little non-chain boutiques. This is not a tourist area, it is a wonderful little high end village. Oh, did I mention that the unit was super clean? My wife and I will be going back and staying again soon. Lots of great memories. I would also like to tham Allison who lives in the main house. She is the sister of the owner and really made me feel at home. Thank you Lisa and Allison for a wonderful experience:-)

The southwest exposure provided such beautiful light...especially in the morning...and gave us magnificent sunsets. We loved the location and all nightly walks along La Jolla Blvd and the Ocean. The views from the roof top back into the city are amazing and so are the sunsets. We slept really well. We opened up all the windows and could hear the ocean waves nightly. The space has a lot of charm and character. It has everything we were looking for and more. We plan to book this place again.

I loved the space! The roof top is amazing for walking fireworks and sunsets. I even managed to watch a few sunrises. The space is very clean, organized, and comfortably furnished. It was cozy and comfortable. I enjoyed walking every morning to Bird Rock (La Jolla Blvd). Great location and Lisa was very helpful with great tips on things to do. I will be back.

The property is extremely spacious and with all new updates (the shower is AMAZING). The location is easy to access and within walking distance of shops, coffee and the shoreline to watch the sunsets. We loved having our meals on the rooftop terrace. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood, very relaxing environment for vacation. The owner was very helpful and prompt with her responses and sending somebody to the property if we had any issues.

I don't generally write reviews, but I had to in this case. The loft was so clean, comfortable and extremely spacious (as well as super neat and organized!). We loved having our meals on the rooftop terrace - the views were beautiful! The loft is located in a pleasant, quite neighborhood. Try to catch sunset at the nearby Calumet Park (a short walk from the loft) - it's breathtaking! Can not recommend this highly enough!

My kids were looking forward to the Loft. When we got there, we were told that we could not use the loft and the ladder was removed. We were instead given a sofa bed that was placed in the GARAGE. Tried to talk to owner and manager but they were not at all receptive. They felt that the garage and the loft were the same so long as a bed was provided. It was very disappointing to say the least. I wish their advertisement was more accurate. I would have probably chosen another place, had I known the facts.

My husband and I , my 21 year old daughter and 18 year old son stayed here for 6 days. The Murphy bed wasn't very comfortable but we loved sitting on the rooftop porch with morning coffee and at night to watch the sea world fireworks. Very convenient to beaches stores restaurants and shops.

Very light and exclusiv interior, nice house with great patios ! 5 min drive to Mission beach (or 15 min with bicycles !) Quite and nice area.

My teenage daughter and I stayed at the loft while visiting my son. The property was well laid out, had plenty of storage to keep everything out of sight, and felt very spacious. The finishes and furnishings were lovely and the bed and sofa bed air mattress were all quite comfortable and my daughter loved the privacy of the loft. Although we had high humidity when we first arrived, the windows allowed for wonderful breezes and we never used the air conditioning. The ocean views and Sea World fireworks at night were enjoyed from the terrace, and was just a great place to hang out. I love to bike ride so we had bikes delivered for the week from Stay Classy Bikes which we stored in the garage area on the ground floor. I thoroughly enjoyed my daily tours of the area and extraordinary homes as well as the bike path through town. The beginning of the boardwalk path was just a few blocks south and you can ride through Pacific Beach all the way to Mission Bay and further – very easy ride and fun to people watch on the way. We fell in love with Windandsea Beach and spent most of our beach time there, enjoying the scenery, watching the surfers and sunsets. The main street of Bird Rock was a quick stroll to fantastic coffee at Bird Rock Roasters, Seaside Smoothie and Juice Bar, as well as the other shops and restaurants, and we also made good use of the posted recommendations at the loft. We fell in love with the area and can’t wait to come back – and would definitely stay at the loft again or any of the owner’s other properties.

We got this little hidden treasure at the very last minute for the 4th of July week end. This is the first time we have ever rented by owner and we were thrilled beyond. Beat many of the hotels we have stayed at and the owner of this rental I have to meet because she may have been even more organized than myself. The place was amazingly clean, cozy and perfect for our family. We loved all the recommendations from the information board and walked into town to enjoy the local charming coffee shop, ate Sushi and shopped the unique boutiques! I have shared this steal to many friends from AZ who can't wait to check it out. We definitely will be back!!!!!

We came here expecting so much less as the price was unbelievable This is a private carriage house in a neighborhood filled with multi- million to Mullin dollar homes. He first floor has a bistro and lounging area that also provides an additional sleeping if you would like an e tara sleeping annex. The second floor contains the main living area with ocean views. The roof terrace is amazing!! We were treated to nightly firework shows courtesy of Sea World. We loved Sunni g here and grilled our meals on the BBQ there. What an Oasis ! We are definitely returning !

My husband and I stayed in the loft for the final days of out honeymoon. It was a beautiful space and really lived the roof top. It is a nice residential neighbourhood with lots of parking. We enjoyed that the loft was a quick drive to many beautiful beaches. Thanks so much for our beautiful stay. Matt and Ashley

My husband and I stayed for a week in the Loft and we loved it. It has an excellent location. It is only a 5 minute walk to the shops in Bird Rock and 8 minutes to go to the Ocean and watch the surfers. The place is very clean, beautifully build and the floor plan was very well planned. In the 1st floor there is a small kitchenette with everything what one needs during a short stay, the 2nd floor is the main living area. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom is really well build and has a wonderful shower with a rain head. Everything is organized really well and beautiful craftsmanship throughout the whole building. I loved the floor plan that the stairs go up then from the main floor to the roof top. The roof top terrace is excellent. You can choose to sit on the south side, then you have a view down to Mission Beach, or you can sit on the east side and you see the whole ocean in front of you. The residential neighborhood is lovely and very quiet. We had an absolute amazing time. We travel a lot because of our work and when we can we try to avoid to staying at hotels. This place gave us everything for this one week visit that we needed and gifted us with a lot of privacy. Very lovely and enjoyable! We will be back.
