Got no breakfast

No breakfast waiting 1 hour to get key when checking in

We have previously stayed at The Stables and booked to stay there again because it is so good in every way. It lived up to our previous experience and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it or use again in the future.

Bathroom cleaned and fresh towels daily. Although don’t leave any you bought with you as they’ll remove those too! Beds made and biscuits replenished.

Shower was tiny, water pressure non existent & temperature control scalding or roasting hot! Electrics were more than questionable 🤨 with a four way extension emerging from the wall with no way of turning on or off obviously plugged in next door in the dining room. Room decor in need of updating very old fashioned, mattresses lumpy. Room 5’s close proximity to the kitchen meant the morning cooked breakfast smells were overwhelming, walls paper thin so we could actually hear the breakfast diners conversations! Communication with owner very difficult as we couldn’t understand what was being said about our breakfast preferences morning 1 we sat in the dining room for 15 mins no one in sight so we left. Conversation later with owners wife who asked why we didn’t go to breakfast when they had supplied gluten free for us? We are not gluten free nor did we request this. Lost in translation!!! We only travelled from Scotland!

Our request for a late check-in was granted. It was great that our family of 5 could all stay together in one room. Breakfast was excellent - great quality ingredients and just the right amount.

The room and facilities look even better than on photos. It was very clean, dry and warm. I was positively impressed with amount of art and irish paintings in dining area and room itself. It was creating beautiful atmosphere. Breakfast was also very good. Excellent value for money.

A bit of a challenge to communicate if English is not your first language, but in overall everything worked out.

The property was lovely but unfortunately the staff where not.

The staff were rude obnoxious towards my disabled family, very racist and the owner is a Karen. She went into the room while my son lay in bed while we where having breakfast and shouted in my face while I was having breakfast. She has problems with children with disabilities and of colour my son is mixed race and the owners where very racist. On the first day the old man asked me if I wanted a daddy for my children. I thrown out of the b&b cause of my children having disabilities this is a horrible place to stay never in my life have I seen or been anywhere like this before. The woman had no right to enter the room without my permission. She threw me and my family out as my son is mixed race. Even the disabled door was locked with a chair infront off it. Shame the place is nice just the staff are not. I had to find somewhere to sleep on the last day as they refused to give me my money back to find somewhere else. Horrifying and very upsetting for my children especially the 3 with disabilities.

Everything ran like like a well oiled machine really clean and breakfast was 100% Location was brilliant a short drive from everywhere to explore northern ireland and there is a restaurant just up the road called the ramble inn it was exceptional food , service and value We will definitely be back
