The hotel was perfect we actually stayed a second time during our trip. If you want a comfortable bed, nice shower and good breakfast after doing a hard hike. This hotel is for you. They also kept our bags for free during out 2 day hike, plus made us a small breakfast to take away at 4am.

People working in the hotel are extremely nice and helpful. Breakfast is quite good, staff serving there are the best.

First, I had arranged transportation through the hotel to pick me up at the airport. When I arrived, there was no one there. I waited 30 minutes before finding another taxi to take me to the hotel. When I brought it up at the reception, no one seemed to care and there was no apology or explanation. I was departing early in the morning so I tried to pay the evening before to make departure quicker the next day. First, I only had local currency and the conversion rate was astronomical and FAR above the current exchange rate at the time. Then, as I was paying in cash and had a feeling that I was being cheated of my money, I asked for a receipt. The man at the desk said he could not give me a receipt (!) and said I would be emailed one within a day or two. That sounded very strange as I've never had a hotel unable to give me a receipt at the time of payment. I politely asked him to write one on paper and he continued to say that he couldn't do it. As I was paying in cash, I was very concerned that I was being scammed. When I asked how to contact his boss, he gave me the hotel's business card from the counter and said that was the only way. I then said I would wait at the counter until he gave me a receipt. After a long wait, eventually he magically printed a proper receipt even though he had previously said it was not possible. It seemed that he was intending to steal some of money and was not used to guests insisting that he act properly.

Location is very close to all top attractions. Staff is nice, breakfast has options, for early tours they provide lunch box to go. Bed is comfy.

Not a complaint, but observation: street-facing rooms have good natural light but plenty of traffic noise, which didn’t bother me. If you prefer quiet, ask for an interior room.

Location was excellent near the monastery. Check in was friendly and helpful; they even brought my bags up to my room when my room was ready and I was site-seeing. The breakfast was the best I've had in Peru. The bathroom was new and modern. The room was in general very nice and comfy. They accommodated my request for a quiet room and it was perfect.

Lots of stairs and no elevator. Not great for people with mobility issues but this is common in Peru. The doors slam a little loudly. Wifi was a little spotty at times while in the room but ultimately was fine (reminder to get off my phone).

everyone was friendly and helpful. it was quiet except for morning and afternoon traffic.

cute little hotel at the heart of historic center (one breath away from Santa Catalina monastery). very clean and all staff had masks on and observing covid measures. we arrived early by bus and kept our bags and when we checked in they had already transferred them there! they were flexible with breakfast as well: if you go on a tour and leave early (eg Colca canyon) they prepare you a lunchbox. staff is polite and help you with many things, like call your room when your tour guide or taxi is there. breakfast is nice (eggs and bread/marmelade).

not really much to dislike. hotel is on a central road so if it’s a Saturday some noise is unavoidable. also wifi was spotty sometimes but not really a big problem.
