Fried Eggs were a bit dry as being under the heat lamps too long.

Staff Friendly and approachable, very helpful when we had issues or queries and got it sorted there and then. Room clean and comfortable and again staff friendly. Breakfast well presented, varied in choice, thoroughly enjoyed ours. Evening meal which we had in the lounge/bar was cooked to our liking too on both evenings, but shame the restaurant wasn't open Saturday evening. However we had a lovely weekend stay, Thanks to All the Staff. We would stay here again.

Location, the cleanliness of the room and communal areas. All staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The inclusive breakfast was phenomenol. So much choice and never an empty item, staff were on top of replen from the off.

The price. If I'd have booked it for a week day I'd have paid less than a third.

We really enjoyed our stay, the staff were all very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. It was in a great location 2 minute walk from petrol station with Asda express and Starbucks. A big Thank you to Holly for her message and the treats in our rooms, that was extra nice and the children really enjoyed. Breakfast was had good selection. The bed were comfortable.

The sofa bed was uncomfortable.

Every member of staff was incredibly helpful and friendly! The bed was comfy and the extras in the room made our stay feel very comfy and welcomed (eg, hand cream, a safe, coffee machine, mini fridge).

There was lots of dog hair embedded into the carpet and brown/ orange stains on one of our towels. It would’ve been helpful to have a little information card in the room regarding breakfast & dinner time as well as checkout times. There wasn’t a huge selection at breakfast but what I ate was very tasty.

Staff were brilliant, pleasant friendly and very helpful. Very clean and well maintained. Breakfast choice was amazing. Swimming pool really nice.

Limited space and uncomfortable seating in ground floor lobby restaurant used for evening meal. Comfortable first floor restaurant was only used for breakfast. After having main meals on two evenings the uncomfortable seating made us decide to eat elsewhere in the evening. A pity, we would have preferred to stay in the hotel.

I liked the location, the pool and jacuzzi were an added bonus and the breakfast was good! Even has Starbucks inside the hotel! Staff were friendly and welcoming.

The pool wasn’t clean, the room was not tended to by roomkeeping after my first night, the room we stayed in the ceiling was all cracked and in dire need of refurb. The staff were not attentive although some were extremely friendly - the requests were not fulfilled such as replenishment of towels, tea etc.

Bedroom had a newly refurbished bathroom. Good choice of breakfast. Pool warm and water clean with towels provided. There was a Christmas selection box in the room!! Large Tv with lots of channels available

The pool area was in need of refurbishment. The doors had paint peeling off, there was no water available, and there was paint flakes falling from the rafters in the pool area as we swam!! It was all over the poolside and was not cleaned up over our 3 day stay. The whole leisure area needs a total refurb. The breakfast fried eggs were floating in oil, and they still use the old tea and coffee pots instead of a coffee machine as in other holiday inns. There was only tea/coffee/ milk and one pack of biscuits in the bedroom whereas when we stayed at holiday inn Taunton before Christmas, we had hot chocolate and bottled water in the same kind of room. It just needs continued upgrading.

Reasonable price for a hotel with a pool, the staff were all friendly and helpful. The car park is a good size and I was able to park my van with large trailer easily.

Despite being renovated recently, the hotel still looks tired, as a builder, the quality of the work that has been carried out is very questionable, and some finishes look tatty. The hotel room was found at the end of a warren of creaky corridors, the room doors have recently been painted, quite poorly unfortunately and they all look a bit botched. My room smelt a bit fousty, but not terrible, however there were more issues with the room. The main door looked like it had been broken in to previously with damage around the lock, the spy hole glass was completely missing so people in the corridor could look straight in to your room and the secondary lock was jammed with the poor paintwork and did not work. On entering the room I noticed several flies on the ceiling and 2 spiders above the bed. Shame they kept the dated artex ceiling during the renovation. The cupboard door nearly fell off when I opened it as the hinge was damaged. Even the newly renovated shower room had poor finishing details which let it down unfortunately. However, the bedding was very clean and the mattress nice, firm and comfortable. The shower worked well once I managed to wedge the shower head holder in to the right position! (again, poor quality workmanship) Breakfast was a bit disappointing, I stay in hotels regularly for work and I think this may have been the most disappointing breakfast for some time. The cooked breakfast, the bacon was dry like buscuits, the beans had been heated far too long, the sausages were poor quality. There was very limited fruit options, only 6 slices of melon on a small plate, a fruit salad in a small bowl, with fruit that didn't look very fresh and there was a big black hair in it. The breakfast staff were very polite and helpful though, perhaps the chef needs to be checking the food is up to par in the dining room more regularly though. I would stay again if the price is low enough, but wouldn't have been happy if it was closer to £100 a night
