Great location, very central but peaceful. All staff very helpful and friendly. Lovely comfortable bedroom & bathroom. Complimentary afternoon tea & cake is a really nice touch too.

We stayed in Jan/Feb and bedroom tiled floors cold, would be good to have rugs in winter but apart from that everything was great

The hotel is accessible via a narrow (perhaps 8' wide) alleyway and I may have missed the hotel had I not had navigation on my phone. Once you enter the wooden doors, a beautiful hotel reveals itself with a lovely courtyard, loggia and elegant appointments throughout. It felt like a very special and historic place.

I struggled with one staff member and there was definitely a language barrier. I reached my room and was immediately contacted by staff via phone to confirm that everything was in order. At first glance, everything was wonderful. But my room's amenities had not been refreshed and I lacked a bottle of liquid soap. 1) I called and was told it would be delivered right away. About an hour later, 2) I went to the front desk and was told that it was taken care of, but I pressed a little because I wasn't certain that the clerk understood. I was told that it would be delivered right away. Nothing arrived. And 3) after returning in the later afternoon, I found the team member that was preparing for the afternoon tea service and asked for her assistance. She delivered soap promptly to my room. This hotel would have been perfect, except for this communication challenge and not having the room 100% right.

We upgraded to best room (Case 1800 suite) which was stunning. Well worth the small upgrade cost on the day - after staying in smaller room one night. Location was superb. Short walk to Alambra which we could see from our window.

Only very minor things - not enough milk in the room for coffee (but accessible from breakfast bar) and shower door needed adjustment.

everything is excellent

The property was simply beautiful! It was well maintained and had all amenities for a comfortable stay. The staff at the reception in the evening who checked us in was very friendly and extended a warm welcome. The complimentary evening tea and treats were a very nice gesture. The location of the hotel is perfect! With everything to see at walking distance.

Uns wurde eine Zimmer neben einem Technikraum mit regelmässigen Geräuschen gegeben. Trotz massiver Beschwerde kein Einsehen oder wenigstens ein anderes Zimmer. Wir wurden dann freundlich darauf hingewiesen, dass wir selbstverständlich in ein anderes Hotel gehen können, aber kein Geld zurück bekommen. 600 EUR verloren und den Ärger runterschlucken müssen. Schöne Ferien! Lesen Sie unbedingt die negativen Bewertungen. Wir verstehen nicht, wie dieses Hotel eine solch gute Bewertung bekommt. UND: Booking kann rein gar nichts machen und hat noch 30% an unserem verlorenem Geld verdient. Denken Sie da mal darüber nach.

Great location; Amazing staff

The whole stay was wonderful. I have booked the room and the room I got was exactly the same I booked - which I was happy about - so thank you to the the hotel staff. we arrive with 6 year old daughter and they made a bed for her to sleep separately. The staff surprised us with the bottle of wonderful cava and an amazing welcome note! Free water. coffee and tea with biscuits is super convenient if you travel with kids. another huge plus. The hotel is in the center of the town but when you go inside the hotel - it is so very quiet.

Noise disruptions, especially late at night, (1am in the morning when guest from next door checked in and wheeled their bags to the room and talking)can certainly affect the overall quality of a hotel stay. It's important for hotels to enforce policies and guidelines to ensure a peaceful environment for all guests.
