Loved location. Incredibly attentive staff. Gardens were so beautiful and most comfortable rooms. Only negative were the cigarette stubs raining from the room above us. Our outside sitting area was littered with stubs!!

What’s not to like???

The whole ambience - complete seclusion and privacy in the resident’s areas at the rear of the property. At the same time, the vibrancy and atmosphere of Protege and the terrace overlooking the high street. A perfect combination. The truly outstanding highlight was the people at LQF - so friendly and attentive. After trying several different properties over eight visits, we’ve now found our home in Franschhoek. We absolutely loved it and will definitely be back.

we booked here to visit the restaurant la petite Colombe, or le Protege, they confirmed a table in the Dining Room. So we were happy. However, after arrival, the Dining Room is a different restaurant in the Leeu estate (we were not aware) so we had no table during our stay in la petite Colombe or le Protege, because both were fully booked all the time. In The Dining Room, we were the only guest at the time. We asked the chef to prepare some sort of surprise menu, which he did. The diner itself was very good by the way.
