The location of the property was perfect with off street parking. Our host, Jo was extremely welcoming, along with her husband Gary which made our stay enjoyable. This is the best accommodation we have ever stayed in, in Franschhoek and we would 100% stay again as our 1st choice.

The cottage was nice and quiet. Clean and private. Jo is a lovely host and very responsive. It's within walking distance to the Wine Tram as well as the town center which has some lovely attractions.

I am scared of dogs, they were barking at us when we came in. But Jo and her husband assisted to keep them calm.

The house is very clean and well maintained.the host has catered to a family's every need. Greatly appreciated its central location, friendly hosts and great linens.. P.s: the dogs did not pose us any problem. They stayed well separated from this particular yard.

Location, is great. It's comfortable and spacious. Comes with a lot of general supplies. Enjoyed the UPS back up system that allows you to have lights, the TV and WiFi during load shedding. Off street parking was nice

not a criticism as everything was perfect but as a regular traveller bathroom supplies of shampoo/shower gel would have been useful also my partner is not a dog fan so did say he thought we should have known about them before arrival.

Wonderful location. Homely, comfortable, open fire with wood and own generator for load shedding. To the uninitiated there are frequent scheduled electricity outages in SA. Cleverly the generator drove TV, Internet and other important facilities. Jo and Gary were friendly and helpful.

Lovely, friendly, responsive hosts - thanks for all the firewood! Central location close to the village. Plenty of heating devices/options to take the chill off when it got cold after sunset. The fruit were also a nice touch.

There is late-night noise from a bar nearby, although every establishment in the area would suffer from the same problem. Light sleepers may be bothered by this, although the downstairs room is a bit quieter. Suggestion: it might be worth putting a sign on the gate so that the entrance is easier to spot the first time.

What a beautiful cottage. The property was so thought out and so we’ll equipped - it exceeded my expectations and the hosts were amazing, so accommodating and considerate.

Location in Franschoek is amazing - within walking distance to restaurants, and the weekend market. You do not really need a car if you are spending most of your time in Central Franschoek. The cottage is hugely spacious, with 2 bedrooms with double bed and ensuite bathroom, a lounge, kitchen and dining area. The cottage is comfortable and sunny and secure, and was a perfect place for our family (2 couples).

On arrival, the cottage has no signage at all - one has to knock on the door of a strange house which has not been in any of the photos, and one is not quite sure what is going on. Then the host has to read to us all the rules and do's and don'ts - like we are in Kindergarten. However appreciated being shown the security locks and how to put the alarm on. Perhaps the gate to the rear of the property where the cottage it, should have a sign "Jonquil Cottage" - it would be easier for guests to identify.

The host has met as personally, has shown the facilities of the appartment. All the quieries were solved immeaditely. The cottage is fully equipped for your perfect stay. Location is simply perfect, you will be in the center of life of Franschhouek. Enjoy your stay at Jo's cottage and get the most from your trip!

Everything was perfect

Stunning location, just a block away from the hustle and bustle of Franschhoek and within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants and the wine tram. It was wonderful to be able to sit on the patio and enjoy the braai facilities. The kitchen was well appointed and the space was perfect for 4 of us. Jo was friendly and the fresh fruit and chocolates were a lovely touch. I appreciated the basics of coffee, tea etc. which is an added bonus when self catering.

With us eating all of our meals at the cottage I would have expected more dishwashing tablets to be provided. We had exactly just enough dishwashing liquid to wash the dishes before we left, down to the very last drop.

Very clean. The beds are very confortable. The location is perfect.
