We recently stayed at the cottage and had a wonderful time. It has a very spacious kitchen and living room area for all to enjoy. There are so many DVDs and games to keep us entertained throughout the week. Patrick was an excellent host and very responsive.

My friends and I visited mid September, it was very quiet and not many people around. A door handle broke off and the home owners were there in no time to fix it! I highly recommend this house! Great views and plenty of things to do!

The house is large and comfortable with good light. The view of Loon lake is relaxing. My only negative thought would be the location of house next to route 9. The road noise is quite loud especially the logging trucks, that seem to run 24/7.

I have so many good things to say about this place. It's very spacious, very clean, and it's pet friendly. This is not the first time I booked this place for my birthday weekend :) and always had a great time staying. Plus it's very close to Gore Mountain Ski Resort where we always go snowboarding. The only problem that I have is the hot shower :( we stayed for 2 nights and the next day hot shower is not working, it was too cold to take a shower during winter lol, but other than that this place is AMAZING. This is my 2nd year coming back and we did have a great time! Thank you Patrick! :)

Rented lodge to house 11 people. The lodge is clean and easy to find. It has a great view with an entire wall of windows looking over Loon Lake. We will rent again in the future.

Our hosts were very hospitable and accomdating. We had one small issue with the internet that was remedied very quickly. They dressed up the house with lights and a tree which made the whole event so much more special. We all appreciated the opportunity to gather in the lodge and use the game room too!

Property was awesome - had plenty of room and everything necessary. Only real drawback was the busy road you had to cross to get to beach, but once there - Awesome!

OVERALL IT’S THE BEST PLACE TO STAY!!!!!
I have so many good things to say about this place. And let me start by telling you that if you’re looking for a huge place with a perfect view, like beautiful sunrise/sunset you should get this place. Me, my family and my friends stayed here for a weekend and we are so amazed by how huge and beautiful this cabin is. It’s so clean and peaceful. And the owner is so friendly! Anything we need during our stay, they are just one msg away. So convenient!! We celebrated my birthday and went to gore mountain to ski the next day. It is 20mins away from the Ski resort. And everything there is convenient! Close to liquor stores, wallgreens and anything you need! If only I could give it 10 stars I would! 🤩🤩🤩

Lodge at Birchwood
We had a wonderful time at the Lodge. It is spacious, clean and has amazing views of Loon Lake. The Christmas decorations and lights were a nice touch. The McGowan’s are great hosts. I would definitely stay there again.

Great Place
My husband and twenty-year-old son and daughter stayed here for a week before Christmas. It is a great location and the house is large and comfortable. The area of the Adirondacks is beautiful with Gore Ski area very close by as well as many hiking trails. The nearby restaurants were excellent (and open for take out). We had a great stay.

We had a wonderful time at the Birchwood Cottages. The view was amazing and the cabin was spacious and comfortable for our group. Patrick and Margo were great hosts and gave us all the information we needed for our stay. It’s a wonderful place to build memories!

My stay at Birchwood cottages
Had a wonderful time. Our cottage was facing Loon lake and it was just heaven to look at. We did the campfire, hiking, row boating, kayaking and relaxation. The cottage was beautiful and well equipped . I have reccommended this place to a few of my friends. Would like to visit again maybe next year.

Annual family ski trip
I have been searching for the perfect place for our annual ski trip to Adirondacks for our growing family. My search is over! The Lodge met all our needs. We are a family that loves to cook, and the kitchen was so spacious we all had our own area to prepare our part. We were able to gather around the fireplace and play games and the chess players had an area that was always at the ready. The beds were comfortable and everyone had one! The skiers were pleased the drive to Gore was under a 1/2 hour and the hikers loved the endless trails behind the camp. Margo was very helpful and always quick to respond. We have found our reunion home!

Huge Place Great Location
We stayed in the Lodge. It had plenty of space for 12 of us to gather. The master bedroom is huge with two attached small rooms with full size beds. It was an extravagant amount of space for my wife and I and our two kids. The house is well stocked with board games and the attached rec room kept the kids entertained. The beach was very nice and had a small boat, paddle boat, and plenty of sand toys for the kids.
Patrick was on site and extremely helpful. Our group turned out to be smaller than originally planned and he allowed us to cancel our associated cottage reservation
Overall great place and we plan to return to the lodge mid winter for skiing.
