This was a perfect property for our extended family of water skiers. The house was very comfortable and clean with plenty of parking. Lots of room on the beach for our boats.

Very nice stay at the river

I don't have enough words to describe the condition. The owner came back to the home twice and took pictures of people and cars on the property. She showed up at 4am and even opened the front door to look inside. She interfered with our use and enjoyment of the property. We got in at 5pm, and the listing says 1pm. The house was not cleaned, or vacuumed. I had to run the dishwasher and wipe down the frig myself. She had dogs in the home and didn't pickup dog poop. Her elderly parents used the restroom before they left, which is not sanitary. The deck was warn and a little girl fell through it, thankfully not hurt. The yard is overgrown and you cannot access the fire pit due to the weeds. The bugs are bad at night. There are no lights out on the grass/beach. There is no book for instructions on what they want done at checkout.

Property is nice and location is great as well. The check in information was not sent ahead of time, but we were able to get Barbara on the phone and we worked it out. Barbara was easy to work with and helpful.

There was a couple of issues that were beyond the owners control, but when they were brought to her attention she immediately took care of them. The house and location were great, me and my family had one of our best vacations ever. Definitely planning on staying here again.

House was perfect location and house was set up with everything you need

First of all the listing was not very accurate and misleading. When they say that there is a private shared beach, dock, and launch ramp I was expecting that the beach and dock would be enough for 2 different groups to use and share. NOPE. Its pretty much for only the front house, or maybe whoever gets there first and claims their spot. I got to use the dock for maybe about 10 minutes because I happend to pull up when the other boat was out tubing. Other than that I didnt have access and had to take my boat out every night. Which I normally do anyway but when the listing says it has a dock I was expecting to not have to. All of the above stuff also applies to the beach as well. At least there is a nice beach right across the river. The house was decent but it is behind the main house. We kind of felt like we were invading their space. Not to mention some random "friends" of either the owners or renters showing up and setting up camp on the launch ramp when no one was even around. We pulled up from boating and some random dude is on the launch ramp having a beer and listening to music. Would not stay here again unless it was about $100 less per night.

Great property

We had a great time at this rental house. Very clean with everything you need and only a short walk to river. My family and I had great time. Will definitely be staying here again..

The house was very clean and comfortable. There was lots of parking space on the property. We especially loved the water front gazebo and the grass covered Beach.

This particular property is the back house of two on the property. The owner was extremely helpful when the water did not work and she had us move into the riverfront house. VRBO did not list any contact information and we had to search the property for phone numbers to contact someone regarding the lack of water. But once we found the numbers, the owner was most gracious and helpful. We greatly enjoyed being right on the river; the dock and boat launch were very convenient. I would recommend keeping the doors locked as my purse was stolen from inside the house while we were down by the water. I would definitely book the front house again, it really was a lovely time.

So the house is great, BUT.... the A/C wasn't working so minus 1 star for that. Barbara was great in getting a repair company out to fix it the next day, but the first night in 100 degree weather was not fun. The refrigerator was also not working... minus 1 star. She had a spare refrigerator in her garage that me and my brothers had to roll in, take the doors off so it could fit in the doorway then put back together in the house. Not an easy task in 115 degree weather with the A/C not working. Other then those TWO BIG factors the house was ok. Great place if everything is working. 3 out 5... it wasn't the best vacation home it was just ok. I however would not stay here again.

I brought my family and two friends for the weekend. The house is the perfect size and well taken care of. It was a very hot weekend and the air conditioning was working great. I brought a 21’ jet boat and was able to launch right on the property. Never pulled the boat out until the day we checked out. Nice dock and beach with plenty of space to play. The Shafers are great people. We arrived pretty late but Mrs. Shafer was very accommodating. Also met their sweet dog Josie. Mr.Shafer even helped me fix my boat trailer. We were very happy here would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great weekend.

Barbara and John are a very sweet couple. They were very accommodating. Very convenient to stay right off the river with our boat and jet skis. Would consider staying there again in the future.

It was our first time renting a house on the river. We would recommend anyone to stay there. Very roomy with Cold Air conditioning. We would rent this house again. Thank you for the experience, The Cazares Family
