This is such a terrific place to launch your Venice experience! Cozy, perfect for two couples or a small family, tucked in a quiet neighborhood with fantastic dining options and local shops, but easily accessible to the grand canal, the Guggenheim and other major museums, and the seaside walk overlooking Giudecca (truly a must). Go to the local green grocer (a small boat on the canal along Piazza San Barnaba) and prepare a lovely meal in the small kitchen or walk less than 500 feet to 3 or 4 wonderful local dining favorites (some are highlighted in the off the beaten guide books to Venice). Alessandro provides a great orientation and insider tips for getting out and really discovering the joy of Venice.

Could not have asked for a better place to stay. The apartment was fantastic and in a great location. Alessandro was a great host, communication was first rate, he provided lots of useful information and was available by text for any questions.

Excellent experience. Alessandro was a perfect host with some very handy tips on where to visit. Apartment was clean and spacious. It is in a great location with excellent restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend.

This apartment was awesome. We were met at the boat drop off by Alessandro's sister Catarina who escorted us home and gave us the best orientation and tips for our stay. From there on Catarina was only a text away to answer any of our questions about Venice. The apartment is centrally located, yet exceptionally quiet. It was modern, new and very comfortable. Cute little kitchen with everything you need. The weather became a bit chilly and Alessandro came right over to get the heating system started up for us. Thanks for that Alessandro. Made our stay nice and cozy.

Everything about our stay was perfect! The apartment was stylish, spacious, clean and wonderfully located. You are right down the way from San Barnaba square with beautiful boutiques and a fabulous restaurant on the corner, we dined there twice! The apartment is a 5 minute walk to the market that has everything you will need for your stay. One of the biggest highlights is Alessandro, the owner. Alessandro met us at the water bus drop off and showed us the way. He took his time not only to show us the apartment but also gave us a map and tips on making our stay in Venice spectacular! We followed his advice and he was right on point. In the apartment there are two quick and easy to read books to enhance your stay in Venice, that was an extra special touch. I have stayed in quite a few airbnbs and have never been given such special attention. Alessandro is sincere on making your stay the best it could be, and it was!!! THANK YOU ALLESANDRO!!!! We will be back!!!

Alessandro's communication before our arrival was so thoughtful, and Catalina who welcomed us and showed us around the apartment, and the information about Venice which she loves was so inspiring: great restaurants, places to visit, enjoyment of getting lost . . . . etc. etc. We want to go back. Their service made our tip so memorable!

We really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is in a great neighborhood and very close to the local water taxi stop, so very easy to get to and from the airport. When next in Venice I would definitely try and book this apartment again. Communications from the owner were also very good.

I recommend this apartment without any hesitation: the cleanliness, the location, the easy and prompt communication with the owner, early check-in (we checked-in around 12:30, which was great after a transatlantic flight with jet lag), mid-stay maintenance....the PERFECT and CONFORTABLE home away from home! This is a true gem of an apartment. Simple, elegant, well thought out finishes, nice extra touches, and the best neighborhood in Venice. Alessandro was fantastic, and gave us great advice for getting to know the Venice beyond the tourism hot spots. We love this city (this is our third visit) and Ca Barba is the perfect place to settle in and enjoy Venice as a real city with neighborhoods, and local hot spots, and a history that continues to be built today.

The lovely apartment has been recently renovated with all new appliances. The bedrooms are good size, with queen size beds. Ample storage is available, and the kitchen was a delight. The location is in a quiet neighborhood, easy to walk to both the Rialto Bridge and the Academia Bridge. I did have to youtube how to operate the cooktop! Alessandro and Caterina were responsive to every question, and provided advice for getting to Venice from the airport, local restaurants and places to visit. The apartment is three stories, the downstairs entrance was convenient for leaving out suitcases after we checked out on our last day. The second level is living/dining/kitchen and a large bath, the third floor has both bedrooms and two baths. There is a hook up for washer and dryer in the second level bathroom, but no appliances yet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to stay here again. Alison, Minneapolis, MN USA

Wonderful hosts welcomed us at the Canal stop, introduced us to the contemporary features of the apt (heating, coffee maker, Netflix, rain shower heads, slippers, boots/umbrellas), and (importantly) left us great illustrated books on Venice, as well as an annotated map to discover hidden gems of the city. I’ve been to multiple hotels and apts in Venice since 1999 and this was the best appointed and most modernized place to stay to date. Last, great location: Ca’ Barnaba is footsteps from the Ca’Rezzonico stop and Ca’ Margherita—great for getting around and restaurants and bars off the tourist path. A tea house, Grom, and galleries are mere feet away. Plus the Campo was film set for Katherine Hepburn’s plunge in “Summertime” and Harrison Ford’s sewer escape in “Indiana Jones” (look it up!) Alessandro and Caterina were fantastic B&B pros who could explain the ins and outs of everything. I’d definitely come back again.

Ca'Barba 24 is a very modern apartment with 2 bedrooms and 3 baths and all the latest technology. It is the perfect home in Venice in the Campo San Barnaba with much local color and few tourists. The apartment is surrounded by restaurants, bars, first-class shopping, and food stores. It was a wonderful home away from home, and I would stay here every time I come to Venice.

Excellent apartment with new, modern amenities and furnishings. Location is walking distance to just about everywhere in Venice. Owner was very helpful. She met us at the Vaporetto stop, and walked us to the apartment. She spent quite a bit of time with us, to walk through the apartment, and then review a map of Venice and make recommendations of where to eat, shop, etc. A large "smart TV" with a good internet connection was a nice bonus!

My parents, my 12 yr old daughter and I spent 4 nights in Venice in May 2018. What an incredible time we had! I booked this apartment a couple months in advance. The communication (by email and phone) with Alessandro from the day I reserved to the day of our arrival was very efficient. Alessandro is a great host. Prior to our arrival, he provided very helpful advice about public transportation and even met us at the water bus station near the apartment to help us with our luggage. He also offered advice on what to visit, what to skip, where to eat, where to get groceries, etc. It’s obvious that Alessandro takes pride in his apartment rental business. This recently renovated apartment was impeccable and the perfect home away from home for my family for the duration of our stay in Venice. The beds were very confortable and the bathrooms in both rooms very convenient (with a 3rd one on the main level). The kitchen was well stocked for our need (we only ate breakfast at the apartment). The location of this apartment is just perfect. The neighbourhood felt very safe, a 4-minute walk to the water bus station, close by to a variety of restaurants, coffee shops, grocery store, pharmacy, cash machine. I highly recommend this apartment!
