Great Position, lovely staff
Not enough sunbeds on the beach, and no staff wandering around the pools and beach to take food/drink orders.

This resort does so many things right.
- The buildings, grounds, pools are beautiful
- The room was a little small but the balcony area was a lovely breezy place to hangout
- The staff are very friendly and helpful
- Great location on the beach, but with quiet spaces set back, and easy access to the restaurants and shops of Sanur
- Good food at the restaurants
At the price point for a 4 star luxury hotel in Sanur they fell down on a few points (that can be easily fixed!):
- The mattresses feel like they were probably great when new but are old and a bit sunken now - really should be replaced! We had to change our first bad mattress (very helpful staff) and the second was better but still not what I would expect.
- For modern travel you expect sufficient sockets to charge devices near the bed. However the only socket was used by the lamp. Its not difficult or expensive to get one of the bedside clocks/hubs with USB ports and they need to do this
- TV connection/cable is bad and picture is grainy. Easy to put in a digital tv box these days.
- Bathroom was ok but not enough hooks and shower should really be combi rain shower style these days.
- Wifi was slow
- Breakfast options weren't very diverse and didn't change much during our stay so got a little boring. But overall food was very tasty.

No bathtub in room, not an issue for me but for my friend it was disappointing.

Rooms were a good size and beds very comfy and air con worked well. Pools were clean and lots of sun lounges and towels. Good location with some of the best restaurants within walking distance.
Breakfast was good but didn't have much variety. Service at the swim up bar was a bit slow and cocktails were a bit boring.

The hotel was so well placed, right on the beach, but also walking distance of so many restaurants, bars and shops. The pools were all amazing. Especially the one with the swim up bar. The bed in our room was the biggest and most comfortable we have ever experienced. Staff were so lovely and friendly too.
The showers could be a little more powerful.

We loved the Balinese Gardens and the location
Unfortunately, the abundance of biting ants around the small pool and the chair "reservation" by towel around the big pool

I loved the pools and the gardens, can't beat such beauty. I also found the booking.com taxi offer to airport was the cheapest, which was appreciated. The food I ate was great, the buffet seemed a reasonable price for what it offered.
For some reason I got an upgrade organised by booking.com. I was told I booked Garden room which was bottom and went up 3 steps to top of the line. The room was for sure big, but I did miss a chair and desk to use my laptop and am sure many would feel the same. There was a sofa and coffee table but you're leaning over it, so not comfortable, otherwise gotta use whilst in bed. I would also have liked a ceiling fan, plus extra power point at bedside to charge up my laptop. I had to unplug one of the bedside lamps to use that power point. The TV quality was not great, but that could be the local internet, not hotel issue, I don't know.

we got an upgrade which was great but the room was in a darkish corner of the resort with noise from next doors resort. our room was near next door amenities alley so noise of trolleys etc.

The resort has beautifully maintained gardens, the rooms are clean and spacious and the pools are crystal clear. The restaurant had a wonderful breakfast every morning and delicious food available all day. The staff are all so friendly

Well located, very nice clean and well appointed resort. Enjoyed the choice of 3 pools plus beach chairs on the beach. Breakfast was good and staff very good.

Great location, friendly helpful staff. My friend had injured her knee and couldn't manage stairs, a ground floor room was found without issue.

The wifi was hit and miss.
The food was poor.
The hotel felt like a compound.
Inside the hotel had no Bali feel to it.
Reminded me of surfers paradise.

Great location, beachfront, 3 pools to chose from, beautiful grounds, rooms Bali style ,comfortable & clean. Good mix of guests…Australian, European, Canadian, all ages.
I was concerned about the pool access in the “ centre pool”, for any one with a balance problem or older, less agile people, it was a little difficult to enter and leave the pool. This could be solved with a rail into and out of the pool.
The main restaurant had the same problem…. the stairs need to be divided, replaced with a ramp on one side, and a security rail installed.

The location was great. The boardwalk out the front was fabulous to take in the beach. The pool is amazing. Recently upgraded & a great spot with great views and facilities.
Overall the rooms look a little tired. But perfectly comfortable.

Disappointing internet connection, even a new router was placed outside our room but still had constant dropouts. Probably too many people on the net at the same time. Even in the middle of the night couldn't connect?

Everything at Griya was amazing. The food was incredible, the staff were very accomodating and friendly. All facilities were clean. The location was perfect, very easy walk to shops and lots of choices for restaurants in the area. Terrific pool area which backs onto the beach. Would highly recommend for an affordable and comfortable stay!
