A bed to sleep in , & the location .

First time for me to visit Wales and the staff are very welcoming . As soon as I park, two staff came to greet me and offered some help on my luggage. Fred was so generous and took us straight to my room. Housekeeping is great too. Good value !!

The price - which was the prime reason for booking. A couple of nights required for a small group of friends. Though not cheap, relatively for the time of year and location, certainly it was lower cost than most of the available later booking options
Room ventilation - small window opening for large window meant stuffier than it needed to be.

Food was not available however we were aware of this when we booked. We were able to order a takeaway and they kindly provided cutlery and plates. We socialised in the bar with the locals and found some useful information of places to visit. the location was good

The friendliness of the staff. The comfort of the bed. The shower. That there was a sink in my room even though I had a shared bathroom. That they organised it so that I was the only person using the bathroom. Happy to supply milk rather than the packets. I had my own coffeemate so I was happy but without this, fresh milk always best!
A shame there was no breakfast but that suited me as I liked to get out early in the mornings!

The only thing that was missing was being able to have breakfast. Other than that an enjoyable stay. Will return soon.

The staff went above my expectations to make my stay as comfortable as possible. My room was basic but beautifully clean. I had clean towels every day, staff noticed that they didn't leave me enough hangers, next day more hangers even hung up clothes I was un able to hang the night before. Will be returning.
Breakfast to be provided but it wasn't an issue for me.

Location and friendly staff
Tired and in need of a refurbishment. The photos on the site did not reflect current condition of this property. No meals were available due to staff shortages. These differences and shortcomings are quite likely due to the effects of the pandemic and lockdowns but images on website are not a fair representation of the current state.

Quiet location with friendly owner.
Website did not make clear that the hotel was NOT in Haverfordwest,but in Johnston, approx 4 miles south of the town.
Bedroom very small and basic,no bedside lights or chairs. Shower did not look clean and was not used. Biggest disappointment,-----no food available at any time,contrary to info. in ad.

Convenient central location and talking with locals who visit the bar as their evening "local".
Due to a setback at the start of Covid lockdown meals are not yet available. There were plenty of nearby options for breakfast and early evening meal so not a problem. The facilities are basic but functional... this will be a good stay for someone who prefers people rather than provisions!

Somewhere to put your toiletries in the shower. The shower needed upgrading. The water pipes & floorboards we're noisey. No bedside tables or lamps.

The people were amazing.
The welcome.
The effort by the owners to make my stay happy and comfortable.
The hotel itself is very dated and doesn't show it at its best but the friendliness more than makes up for this.
Don't judge a book by its cover.

Nice spacious property with plenty of parking spaces and centrally located for travelling around Pembrokeshire, eg Skomer Island.
Shame no breakfast currently available due to COVID limitations, but still served a nice pint in the evening.
