Loved our stay
Staff so friendly and helpful

Unfortunately we had a noisy neighbour but not the hotels fault however maybe a member from the bar could ensure rooms seem quiet once bar is empty
Bar a little noisy at emptying time but had been warned by staff about this and it wasn’t for very long

Overall the hotel was nice. Our room was lovely with a very comfy bed and a large tv. Shower was good too. Situated in nice area.
When we arrived we couldn't find where to park as it wasn't signposted well. When we entered we couldn't find a member of staff. We sat in the restaurant but left because it took to long to be served. When we came back there still wasn't a staff member. When we did get seen to we were allowed in our room early so that was a bonus. Dinner service was awful we waited an hour between ordering drinks and getting our meal. Staff all over the place.

The food was excellent; both for breakfast and the evening meals we had. Very attentive staff in a busy hotel.

We got a 3 bed flat.. amazing size... with all necessary items as fridge washing machine kettle and many more needed for self-catering. But we also received breakfast included.. each room had a TV.. flat was super clean..and stylish... definitely recommend

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They allowed me to store my mountain bike in a function room for security.

Clean and comfortable room. Staff very pleasant and welcoming.
We were directed to an upstairs room which was a newly refurbished room, stunning. Key didn't work, back to reception to be told our room was in fact on the ground floor. The room was acceptable, although the other one was better.
Breakfast was good, although, yet again a half slice of black pudding and haggis.
Only one young girl working, but she was excellent.

The breakfast was brilliant. The shower was great with a large rain shower head. The staff were all lovely and Sanquhar is a very nice little town.
Only downside I can think of is a very minor one! The TV remote didn't work. Wasn't enough of a bother for me to ask for anything to be done though.

Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The room was perfect for our 1 night stay with a huge TV, lovely rain shower and even a fridge. Great value for money. We visit the area regularly so would definitely stay again.
My partner thought the bed was too hard but I on the other hand was ok with it.

Loved the hotel, clean, warm and comfy room. Nice staff, friendly bar. Had a nice breakfast in my room, didn't try the restaurant as I wasn't too hungry but it smelled nice. As a single woman, just looking for a couple of nights away from home, somewhere I hadn't been before. Lovely area. I felt safe and secure. Dog loved it too

The hotel was lovely, the staff were friendly and professional, making my visit very pleasant. The restaurant food was lovely too.

Very grateful thar staff were able to give not only cereal but also poached egg at 8.30 Sun by prior arrangement. Young woman on duty Sat evening for dinner was very helpful and a good advert for Sanquhar & the hotel

Lady sold me a coffee and brownie when I arrived. Friendly bar. Good food. Big breakfast. Handy for Southern Uplands Way.
Tripped down step by reception a few times. Almost invisible in the carpet, needs something to highlight it.

Good food great staff. Couldn't be more helpful very relaxing. Breakfast was lovely definitely recommend it.
Not much not to like. Great wee place for passing cyclists dog friendly also. Definitely get one's moneys worth.
