the food and onsen are very good! worth the price

Nice cosy, intimate vibes. Really feels like you're in a quiet secluded village. Staff very professional and friendly. We had private check-in and welcome food and snack. Room was extremely comfortable and amazing. Nice private bath and a couple swing too. Food was great, there was a beef dish which was simply excellent, so tasty. Onsen was decent, also had the water piped up to cascade down on you.

Nice intimate village feel, but it's not great on a rainy day. Puddles everywhere, not so easy to avoid in your slippers Umbrellas provided, but hard to navigate the tight walkways and trees. Payment is cash only, they don't take credit cards

It's such a beautiful area, and this hotel is amazing. The room I booked had a hot tub in the room, which was incredible!

dinner was excellent. close to fine dining experience. compared to other ryokans at the same price range, this hotel’s dinner really stands out.

check in experience was a bit chaotic, partly due to language issues. breakfast is fixed schedule from 8:15-8:45. quite unusual not be able to choose a time slot.

There are 5 private hot spring baths and 2 public open-air baths separated by men and women. A place where you can enjoy a hot spring like a hot spring.

A public hot spring is also provided indoors, but there is no private bathroom or private open-air bath in the room.

Definitely a wonderful experience! The staffs were all kind and helpful, the decoration of the ryokan was traditional and stunning, and most important of all, I really enjoyed the different kinds of Onsens (both public and private) they offered.

No shower place and towels were offered in private / public bath.

One of the best places I have ever stayed. The design of everything is beautiful and traditional. The staff was extremely helpful and spoke perfect English. They provided the token we needed to onsen-hop around Kurokawa and held our bags until check-in time. Dinner was a multi-course affair and everything was expertly made and displayed beautifully. The service was phenomenal. There are several onsen options at the hotel, all are great. Everything was clean and well-stocked. They also arranged for a car to drive us to the bus station when we checked out which was very convenient.

Staffs are really friendly, both public and private hot springs are clean and nice. Also it’s really easy to use the private hot spring, just bring the key and go. The dinner and breakfast are fulfilling, especially the beef is super tender and well seasoned! Bed and blankets are soft and warm and comfy, perfect for winter. Excellent experience, will definitely come back again.

This place is amazing! Definitely will have to come back again. It felt like I was staying at a museum. I love the aesthetic. The hot springs were great and the food was delicious!

The building is traditional Japanese construction. The moss gardens are very beautiful. Amazing. Very clean building and rooms. Highly Recommend this hotel.

They are constantly improving. It’s wonderful.
