Wonderful location in the center of Paihia. Kitchen and meeting area, large and functional.

Room too small and wifi not stable. No service guard in the night. Just a telephone number for emergency.

Too hot to sleep without A.C, only fan in the rooms, my only complain.

Amazing view, well located (1min walk from Intercity bus and boat/tours departure, 2min from the closest supermarket). The kitchen is clean and you can find everything you need, free coffee and tea. The bed is comfortable, there are lockers to store your belongings safely below the beds, and each has a light and power socket. Clean bathroom as well. Good atmosphere!

The room was nice, curtains around the bed offered privacy. Really liked this place.

The cookware was somewhat damaged and there were no lockers in the room.

Windows in private room don’t all shut properly so could get a little cold and there’s a bit of noise from some extraction fan or something outside

The beds are comfortable with a light, plug point and curtain. The common area was very nice and spacious.

The room was very hot at night and the water had in unpleasant taste.

The bedrooms were extremely cramped with no type of luggage storage (like a locker or anything) available, so your bags took up most of what little room was available. Additionally, they seemed to have a real bad problem with bugs - ants and flies mainly - in the kitchen. Each and every cupboard could be found to have both dead and live bugs and insects inside them

the staff were lush, got checked in early as the room was ready and the hostel has amazing views and nice kitchen

the bunk beds - if you’re tall and get a top bunk, it makes you feel like you’re in a coffin, it’s tight and claustrophobic

Amazing position in front of the ocean and above some cute restaurants and pubs. The property was clean, the staff super friendly and they had free coffee and tea for the guests.

The room was very small (4 bedroom female room) and very hot, there is no air conditioning, just a fan that helped a bit.

Staff were excellent - we had a problem with our room being far too hot and they easily accommodated us in another room and offered us a free upgrade to an en-suite! Location is amazing, fantastic view over the Bay from the common areas!

The location is beautiful, with a wonderful view of the Bay from the spacious lounge.

Most local cafes not open until 11am so breakfast options were limited and ones open had major queues and waiting time. Only place with vacancy.

No parking available. Friends car had been stolen 2hrs prior from same place that was recommended to park. Room was equipped with fan but this just pushed around the warm air in the room so no sleep most of the night as no fresh air coming into room or on the floor we stayed on.

Very clean, confortable, space for my stuff, kitchen and commun are spacious. Beautiful view and best location in Paihia near ferry, city center, beaches.

Haka lodge is in a fantastic location with great views over the bay. The kitchen and common space is big and clean. The bed was comfortable with a privacy curtain, light and plug socket by each bed.

There are only two toilets in the ladies so you may have to queue and be prepared for there to be no toilet paper. The loo seats also need replacing. The bedrooms are quite small.
