The owner was really nice! Cute little room.

Was actually rather cold as heating didn’t stay on (understandable trying to save electricity but still), shower was extremely tiny & not good pressure or heat at all, toilets in awkward spot - just very small toilets & shower like teeny tiny.

Friendly welcome, large well-equipped room, great shower, comfy bed. Good value for money.

Room was nice and spacious, great location busses to town very close and lots of cafes and restaurants nearby

The location was nice, a parking spot and very close to cute breakfast places and the Meadows park.

The room was extremely damp, moist, and it came with the everlasting smell, our clothes stunk for days even after we left. Our towels never dried. We chose the room with shared bathroom and this was our final experience, we will never again. The shower door was also the bathroom door and it was impossible to bring clothes without soaking them in the shower… in a shared bathroom, so we either had to get out naked or wet clothes

Very cosy, clean and quiet room with shower and toilet, super comfy bed. Only 15-20mins to the castle. Very lovely owner/manager. We will definitely be back.

WiFi didn’t work in our room. Dead zone. Had to go out in the hallway.

The hospitality was spot on

It was too much walking. We were in the atic very small and cramped. TV didn't work

centrally situated so walking Edinburgh is easy without the need to drive or get a taxi.

i don’t like sharing a shower or toilet. although it must be said the number of people sharing is not a lot so we never actually encountered others or waited for other to shower.

we were 2 adults and 3 kids in a room for 6, quite tight with almost no place for suitcases. good enough for 1 night

Guest house is situated just few minutes walk from a beautiful meadows and another few minutes from Old Town so if you like to walk Menzies is the ideal place. The staff is very helpfull and friendly. Rooms and shared bathrooms are clean and comfortable. We loved every minute of our stay and would love to go back in the future:)
