We had a fantastic week. The cottage is full of character with an amazing terrace right on the quay. Lots of good walks right from the door and plenty of local pubs and restaurants.

Our second stay in this cottage. Great place and great locarion. A coupke of minor probkems were sorted out impressiveky fast and we have no complaibt at all. All in all superb.

As mentioned in our review, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The view from the proper large balcony is absolutely stunning! Just a little thing like having to buy own kitchen towels and extra toilet rolls didn’t really matter.

Manor Cottage is a delightful, quaint holiday accommodation commanding a wonderful view of Ilfracombe harbour, including Damien Hurst's Verity statue, St Nicholas Chapel high on the hill, Elephant Rock and the sea beyond.

Wow wow wow this is the second time we have stayed in this beautiful home it’s massive, quirky, parking on site in your own garage beds are so comfortable and the balcony is just amazing and the views are great we didn’t have to use the car, so much to do and see just love it can’t wait until next year

We always have an amazing stay at this little harbour cottage. Perfect location and clean accommodation. A friendly and helpful host too. Can’t fault it and we will be back again.

Brilliant upside down property in great position. Would definitely stay again

Because of proximity of other vehicles we found manoeuvering into the garage impossible but we were never without a space outside of the property. Overall a good find and we would like to return in spring/summer to use the outside terrace.

What a lovely, quirky cottage! We stayed for 3 days over Christmas and it was wonderful. From the welcome wine, biscuits and chocolates (thankyou Liz!) to the harbor view and decoarated Christmas tree, everything was lovely. The cottage is perfectly located and was clean, warm, cozy and very well equipped; the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, and the beds were very comfortable. The garage is a huge plus and the view from the terrace is wonderful - our 4 legged baby loved it too!. Communication with the owner, Liz, was very good, quick responses to questions. Hope to come stay again one day and can recommend Manor Cottage 100%!

We had a very enjoyable stay in manor cottage. Beautiful and quirky place that is well located for exploring with lovely views across the harbour. Excellent communication from the property owner and the property manager in ilfracombe was there within minutes when we needed him.

We love this property both for its location and character. We all enjoyed a great week and hope to stay again soon.

What a beautiful place to stay, perfect location, put the car in the garage and it stopped there for our whole trip. House had everything that was needed, car parking could be an issue but I managed to get a large 8 seater car into the garage. Balcony was a great addition to the property, loving to sit and watch the sun rise, the dog loved it, laying and watching the dogs on the beach. Location was within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to visit.

Hands down this was one of the best holiday properties we’ve ever stayed at. Location wise it’s bang on the harbour with amazing views of all the comings and goings but also with easy access to all of Ilfracombe’s shops and restaurants. We loved using this as a base for walking to the nearby villages and then using the outside terrace each evening to chill with a glass of something cold. All in all I’d thoroughly recommend this property to anyone considering a visit and can’t thank Liz enough for all of the prompt help and support she provided in advance of our holiday!

That said, these small points are easily outweighed by the house and location.

We had a fantastic week staying at the property. The terrace was wonderful looking at all the boats, beach and RNLI! We also went Seal Swimming which is highly recommended.

Loved our stay her. Communications with Liz the owner were very good and check in no problem. Parking is not an issue as there is a garage and free on street parking if you are lucky. If not there is a public car park just paces away. The property itself is lovely with two good size double rooms and a bunk room. The lounge is comfortable and the kitchen more than adequate. What makes it is the balcony - you can spend hours just watching the comings and goings of Ilfracombe Harbour. There are lots of great places to eat in Ilfracombe and lots to do. I recommend Espresso and the Smugglers Restaurant to eat and if you want to go on the sea take the Sea Safari trip. We had a dog with us and there are some great walks - if you fancy a distance then the hike to Lee and lunch in the Grampus is great, for shorter walks there are the beaches or a stroll to Hele for an ice cream. I don't want you to find this property because we will be visiting again and I would like it to be available - but it is undoubtedly highly recommended as is Ilfracombe.

Manor Cottage was lovely and a great location to see North Devon. We particularly enjoyed using the deck at the front for a morning coffee or a drink in the evening. The cottage had all of the amenities and facilities to make our stay enjoyable.

We had a wonderful week at this quirky cottage. The view was stunning it is in a perfect location and the property was very spacious. My Daughter loved all the childrens books! Only thing I would mention to others staying is that the fridge is small and the freezer is just one shelf of the fridge so for anyone with a young family like us not planning to eat out much a weeks shop wouldn't fit into the fridge you would be better doing 2 shops across the week. We would visit Ilfracombe and would book this house again. Liz was very helpful and we had great communication from her.

Wonderful location to sit and watch or to set out on a stroll. Lots to see and do in the area. Property is well set out and has everything you need but with lots of stairs, so beware. Garage is a bonus, though a bit awkward, great if you just want to put the car away for the week. The owner is very accommodating and made sure everything was OK for our stay.

Second time. Just as fantastic as remembered. Manor Cottage has everything you need and more went with family and couldn’t believe how many children’s toys and books there were girls loved it. Balcony great watching the RNLI in action while sipping our complimentary bottle of wine! Thank you Liz. Had great seafood at S&P just below us. And lovely meal at The Smugglers just across the Harbour. Will defo try and make this an annual event! Just love it

Enjoyed every moment. Communications prior with the owners were timely and helpful. Location was sublime, with gorgeous views. And the space in the house made for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Would heartily recommend to anyone.
