I took a trip with my school organization officer team. The team consisted of 7 teenage girls and two adult chaperones. We all had plenty of space and enjoyed every part of this beautiful property. I highly recommend this stay for families or friends wanting a picture perfect getaway.

We had a fantastic stay at this property! The house was clean, well-maintained, and very spacious, providing a comfortable and relaxing environment. The location was amazing, with easy access to the beach. The veranda was perfect, especially on cloudy days. Paul, the owner, provided exceptional service. He was very responsive, welcoming, and incredibly kind. We felt right at home and would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

Me and my family really enjoyed our stay! The house was very clean and well kept. The kitchen is well stocked. Also comes with bed sheets and bath towels. Paul was great to speak with and answered any questions quickly. Great view of the ocean and short walk to beach. Very relaxing stay. Cant wait to go back!

The Boathouse Cottage more than lives up to its promise of being a beachfront family retreat. The house is well maintained and lovingly cared for. My brother and I spent three nights there to celebrate his birthday. The early May weather could not have been more cooperative. Indoors and out, everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay was provided. Communication with Paul, the owner/host, was outstanding. He provided detailed and helpful instructions prior to our arrival and was available by phone and very understanding when I had to contact him to report a mishap during our brief stay. I look forward to returning again.

Everything was great, 8 of us ran the Maine Coast Half & Marathon and had a nice comfortable stay at this beautiful home. Would love to go back!

We had a wonderful time! The surrounding area has certainly been hit by some big storms lately so the neighborhood is somewhat under construction but the house was very clean and in great shape. Paul is a very kind and responsive host.

We were a group of six adults and four kids (18 months - 6 years old) and everyone had a blast. The cottage is right on the water and on a dead-end street. Kids enjoyed building sand castles in the front yard and playing on the beach. House was perfect and cozy. We’ll be back!

Really enjoyed it

Coming from Texas were temperatures were 110°, we were thrilled to be beach side in Maine. We had 4 adults and 3 kiddos under 10 with plenty of room to spare. One thing that we didn’t realize is, there was no air conditioning here, which I’m sure is needed in frequently. A couple of nights did get fairly warm, but plenty of box fans were provided the home was very clean with plenty of amenities. We were able to entertain family here for a couple of the days we were here and it was perfect. If I might make one suggestion. It was late when we arrived the first night and having the linens already prepared on the beds would’ve been helpful. We would highly recommend this location and may seek it out again for next year.

Perfect house to enjoy a family trip at the beach

Wonderful property overlooking the ocean! Plenty of room for our family of 9 adults and 3 children. 3 Bathrooms were handy to have. No one did use the claw foot tub upstairs. Plenty of fans, did have a fairly cool week with cloudy days. Kitchen had everything we needed, maybe could have used a griddle for our pancake breakfast! Was great to have a washer and dryer, and was nice that there were sheets and towels provided so was one less thing to bring from home. The very best thing was the porch, view from the porch, swings to use in the yard, big tables so our family had suppers out on the patio every evening! And the beach cart to take our things to the beach! The only downside was the distance to the beach, which was only an easy 5 minutes. Nice side streets walkable to the harbor, general store, and a place to get lobsters cooked! Thank you Paul, answered any questions we had, responded very quickly, we had a wonderful week at your house!

The house was clean and well stocked with all we needed for our vacation. The host was quick to respond to questions. The house for 10 with plenty of room for more. The location was incredible and great for beach days and exploring the area.

Wonderful stay at the Boathouse Cottage !

We really enjoyed our stay at the Boathouse Cottage. Paul was easy to work with through the check-in and check-out process. The house is located in a good spot, with easy beach access, as well as short drives to a number of nice day trips. The kitchen was well-stocked, making BBQ'ing and cooking feel like we were at home.

Our family truly enjoyed this oceanfront property this year! The entire home was very clean, and there were ample bedrooms and bathrooms for our crowd of family, from age 3yrs to 91 yrs! We had 4 generations on this vacation. The host was attentive to the few questions/comments we had, but certainly not intrusive on our vacation. We have rented many different homes, but this one was by far, our favorite. We appreciated the wagon to carry our things to the beach.

This beach house is amazing. Located directly on the water with breathtaking views, it is a beautiful house and exactly as described. There are plenty of dishes, towels and blankets, as well as games and toys for the kids. It was spotlessly clean on our arrival and provided everything we could need. Our family of nine had plenty of room. The neighborhood is lovely and great for walking. We even had a plumbing issue and Paul responded immediately, showing up to fix it himself. There is so much to see and do in the area and the Boathouse is only a 20 minute drive from Portland airport. If I could give it more than five stars, I would. Would recommend the Boathouse to everyone. Will definitely come back.

My cousins and I went on a girls' trip to see the fall color and the ocean in Maine. The house was just great! The view was incredible and we really enjoyed the screened in porch! Would definitely rent again.

My siblings and friends along with our spouses had a great time again this year. The cottage has everything we need and you can't beat the view. We spend most of our time outdoors or on the porches since the view of the ocean is so wonderful! Paul is very accommodating and communicates in a timely manner.

We enjoyed our stay at eh Boathouse. Paul was great and easy to work with. We highly recommend the property.

We just returned home from our fourth time renting this beautiful ocean front home. Our group of ten family members had plenty of space to move about and spread out. My two absolutely favorite places to relax, drink my morning coffee and to read were the front porch and the enclosed side porch. The ocean views are gorgeous. Very quiet neighbor hood that is a short walk to access the beach.

Clean well located house with plenty of beds for large extended family. Wonderful porch overlooking ocean. House directly on the ocean but vis a vis rocks so a short walk sideways is needed to reach the beach area. There was a large wheel wagon available to carry beach accessories (chairs towels toys etc) which was convenient. Would have been nice to have hot water in outdoor shower and a few planks were loose (minor issue). Also would be nice to have shower upstairs and a little more insonorisation for upstairs bathroom would be good ( ex: bath P-trap opening). Overall very functional, nice house for family vacation. We strongly consider renting again.

Spent a week there with my family of 11. 6 adults and 5 kids. Cottage was in a beautiful location with plenty of space. Loved the peace and quiet of Camp Ellis. Met the owner when we checked in and he made sure we new where everything was and if we had any problems how to get in touch with him. We will definitely be going back!

The Boat Cottage and location provided the perfect family vacation. Looking out over the ocean from the beach swings at sunrise was stunning. Paul is a wonderful host. Already booked for next summer!

Our stay at The Boathouse Cottage could not have been more perfect. The house was clean and had plenty of space. The location was phenomenal...just a short walk to the beach and views of the ocean 24/7. We have already booked for next year.

You can’t go wrong with this location. Quick walk to 2 beaches, restaurants, fishing piers, and 3 miles to OOB. The neighborhood is quiet and great for walking and riding bikes with kids. The views from the home and especially the porch are breathtaking. Staring straight at the ocean 24/7. Love the fire pit and seating outside to watch the sun rise and set. The house description and photos are accuract. You won’t be disappointed!!

We had really high expectations for this house and it lived up to the hype! We had 14 people in our group (8 adults, 6 kids) and there was enough space for everyone to be comfortable. We made use of all the amenities the house offered and everybody loved it. Paul was terrific with communication ahead of time and promptly responded to any questions. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a great stay at Paul's place. He was very communicative and understanding when we had to shift dates around due to work schedules. We loved the location and the view from the property. Check in and out was easy!

Wonderful get away with family. Beautiful ocean views. We enjoyed cozy fires in the chilly evenings. The house is spacious with plenty of room for our group of 8. Beautiful relaxing time of the year to enjoy costal Maine. We will definetly return during the summer!
