I love the apartment and it's the location.

The apt number was missing so we had to call to know which one we were staying in. The 10:00 a.m. checkout time, most places give you until 11:00 a.m. My son had gotten up early, gone to the store, and then cooked us a nice breakfast which we were in the middle of when the cleaning lady arrived. We were 15 minutes late checking out, it was Coronation Day, and the cleaning lady had a melt down. She called the owner who yelled at my husband over the phone. These are the only 2 people that we encounted in the UK on our entire trip of two months that were rude.

The cottage was absolutely perfect , and the little extras such as milk and a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge were a lovely surprise

Absolutely nothing, for us it was perfect.

We had a lovely stay at the Cloisters whilst up in York for a friend's wedding and some other events. The house was very comfortable and well equipped, and there were some lovely thoughtful touches like a bottle of bubbly and milk in the fridge. We stayed with my 3 year old and house is well equipped for children (has cot/highchair for even smaller kids) and the doors were actually really great for sound proofing, so didn't have to worry about noise disturbing naps etc! Hosts were very responsive and friendly, fixed a minor issue we had on arrival right away with no fuss. The location was excellent, right by city walls and also a supermarket, and great that it had a parking space. We would absolutely stay again, we hope to have another chance to visit York now!

Loved the location - self catering house with a Sainsburys 2 minutes walk away. Other supermarkets within 10 minutes walk. The development was quiet, and house ideal for a break for 2 adults. The town centre was easy to reach on foot, as was the Minster and other historical attractions.

There was only one bathroom and that was upstairs - but that was a minor issue as the bath was large and shower was powerful enough. I felt that in comparison to some self catering that we have visited there was a lack of easy to find information on how things worked, but we managed well.

Lovely clean, modern comfy house. Central location. Lovely extra touches wich we're a bottle of prossecco, cake, and a giant Yorkshire pudding. NICE!!

Maybe the bed was slightly too firm but not really a problem.

Location was great. Very handy for the centre of York, close to a major supermarket, and with a parking space. Despite its central location, very quiet at night.

Wifi quite slow. A teatowel for hand drying dishes would be great.

Brilliant location. Very clean and well equipped. Great to have a car parking space behind the house. Communication was excellent. One of the best holiday homes we have stayed in.

Lovely apartment in a fabulous location with a car park - doesn’t get much better! Well equipped kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher. Fresh milk in the fridge, complimentary bottle of wine and a yummy cake were nice touches. it was wonderful to have the car space and be so close to the centre of York yet very quiet in the evenings. Should we have to opportunity to visit York again we would definitely book The Cloisters.

What's not to like, fantastic location only yards from the city walls. Very comfortable house and spotlessly clean. The really big bonus is the parking space at the rear of the house, once there the car didn't move until we left. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying here and I'm sure we'll be back in the future.

Location to city amazing. Less than 5 minutes to go through city walls. House equipped with everything you could need in a house. Amazing.

This property exceeded our expectations. Fab attention to detail and the little personal touches were amazing. Perfect for access to centre of York and right next to a big Tesco's. We were two couples attending a concert at Castle Howard and this stay was icing on the cake. Space to park and sit outside if nice day. A gem of a find :-)

The single beds were to hard for my kids but others probably prefer that.
