lovely hotel, well managed and great staff. The rooms were clean and the views were spectacular.

This is a massive resort. Please bear in mind that it doesn't offer an intimate or personalised experience, and it can feel as though you are in a large corporate machine churning out tourists. The beach is not particularly clean and there was a lot of litter in the sea.

Beautiful location. Excellent all around. However, the staff was especially good and in particular, Uyen, who made it so easy to make a quick booking and facilitate early morning transport to the ferry. Didn't meet her, but she was instrumental in making the stay very enjoyable.

The facilities the hotel offers (restaurants, spa, pool, access to the beach) and the beautiful view from the bar and the room. The room was clean and comfortable.

The laundry was very expensive and we did not like the Face ID system to access the facilities. Also, when we checked out, we were asked to fill out a survey on Tripadvisor while the staff was looking behind our shoulder. We felt a bit pressured to give a good review, which is not constructive.

The view from our room was gorgeous.

Room service took over an hour and food arrived cold. Requested towels for the pool and apparently they had none available so we had to use our towels from the room. Food was not available in the towel we were staying in had to take multiple lifts and walk to the other tower to have breakfast. You have to pay for a ride to town or walk the hotel doesn’t provide service. They do not have a cash exchange only an ATM.

The room was nice and the location was great

There was planned maintenance but we were not told until the morning we arrived that we would be moved from the main building to another building. A lot of the resorts facilities were closed when we arrived. A member of staff was very rude and tried to charge me for sun loungers that were on the hotels private beach (it transpired they were free) and we were moved onto the sand where there was a team building exercise. The loud music made it impossible to sit there which ruined our only afternoon at the resort. The staff did not recommend that we eat outside the hotel, compared to the food outside, the hotel food was not nice and overpriced. When we went to bed we could hear the corridor music in our room and it took two trips to reception to get them to turn it down. For a 5 star resort which was not cheap we were extremely disappointed and would not recommend.

Amazing Location but poor management and poor maintenance of the building

1: Outdoor pools dirty (leafs, rubbish) 2: Towels worned out 3: Rooms toilets bath/shower designed wrong, overhead shower spills water all around bathroom, handheld shower was not working at all. 4: indoor pool floors dirty, one of the kids cut his feet with the glass, which was not cleaned after someone damaged a cup. 5: Room cleaning service is poor.

The pools were nice, and the surrounding views of the property were beautiful. It was clean.

I wouldn’t really consider this the 5 star experience, I know that the price of this hotel compared to a resort in Australia is reasonably cheap, but it’s not cheap for a hotel in Vietnam.. and i wasn’t really that impressed. The layout of the hotel is huge, with 3 different towers/ hotels operating under the one resort, which just seemed to make the whole thing confusing. The rooms were basic, no mini bar or snacks at all, just water and tea, we had an open plan bathroom which meant every time you had a shower the whole room got wet, including the toilet roll lol. breakfast and dinner was included at a buffet style restaurant..which served the same dishes on repeat,but there was no where to go for lunch except for ordering room service. I’ve never ordered room service before and had to pay for it in cash lol, charging things to the room was not an option, the same if you ordered a drink at the bar, so you had to carry cash around the hotel constantly which was pretty annoying while trying to use the pool. Overall the hotel is good, I just don’t think it quite has that 5 star factor.

The balcony on our room had a nice view of the beach. Unfortunately there were 100s of people screaming and drowning on that beach from before dawn to after dusk.

The guests were so rude and aggressive. They only cared about the food at the buffet breakfast. We saw a woman urinating and vomiting simultaneously at the bus stop while her family and friends watched from the bus.

Nice hotel, but very busy with locals this time of year. Appears that several members of the staff are trainees, and were frazzled with the number of people checking in at the same time. The breakfast buffet was very good, the dinner buffet was not ideal for vegetarians, but the choices for others were very good. The hotel is a nice modern hotel with 3 towers of rooms connected by a bridge. Nice view of Lan Ha bay from each room. It is a short walk into town, or you can arrange for an electric car to take you.- for 10,000 vnd ea. All in all, a very nice hotel, but the experience would have been better had it not been so noisy. Not the hotel's fault, it's the locals having a good time on their vacy. :).. That being said, I would stay here again.

Rooms a a little small, but manageable. The bathroom just has an open bathtub to shower...Very inefficient. Very messy. Big design flaw.

So many little things that just added up. 1. The listing says they can organise airport pick up- they can't. You only discover this after you book non-refundable 2. We paid for a resident suite only to be told you can't take food into the hotel. The kitchen was sham- no hob, no plates, no cutlery 3. Deluxe suite had two small double beds pushed against each other, not one large bed. Bare in mind we had emailed ahead to say we were a couple enjoying our anniversary 4. It was very noisy. 5am and the lifeguard could be heard throughout the whole hotel. The beach is below the entire hotel block 5. The AC is overridden remotely. Prepare to wake up roasting when they reset it in the middle of the night 6. The price of everything- the average price for a beer in cat ba is probably 15,000 vnd. The beer started at 70,000. 7. The menu price didn't include 10% tax, and another 5% if you paid on card (so the price you pay is more like 77-80k) 8. You are told you get a discount on the prices if you are staying at the hotel, the staff don't seem to acknowledge this more often than not. We ordered 3 rounds of the same drinks and paid 3 different amounts 9. The food doesn't look like the menus. You could be forgiven for thinking that the seafood rice would feed two when the price is £18 and the picture on the menu looks like a good medium sized paella dish. It was one small bowl of rice. This would have cost £2 in a local restaurant 10. It is very young family vibe in high season, not romantic as you would hope for the price and location. Lots of better places nearby I see a lot of reviews saying how happy they were to be upgraded. The hotel is very nice if you want a package deal kind of vibe. If you want to pay for a premium price and experience. This is not it at all

Clean, lovely ocean front room, great breakfast

Lots of loud tannoy announcements from 7.00 in the morning on the beach that was loud even with all the patio doors closed Mostly lots of guests who culturally were different to us, they got up and we’re on the beach by 6.00, very loud and smoked a lot, very happy jolly folk though nice to experience how different cultures holiday

Beautiful and impressive hotel, well located for easy access to Cat Ba town. Lovely and comfortable room with really nice bathroom. Excellent breakfast selection.

Much of the other parts of the hotel appeared closed. The hotel lacked a fun holiday atmosphere and seemed more corporate and formal than we would have liked. There is a beautiful and huge spa where we had a complimentary 15 min foot soak and scrub but the spa itself was virtually deserted. The staff were very pleasant and helpful but communication was a problem as almost no one spoke good English, which was surprising given that the hotel would likely attract a global clientele.

NOTHING, HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

We found HUNDREDS of ants everywhere in the bed!!! EXTREMELY GROSS AND UNHYGIENIC!!! They put a lot of vegetation in the terrace, so it brings a lot of insects and ants everywhere in the room, even if we were on the 17th floor!!! We booked a room clearly advertised with terrace and outdoor furniture to enjoy the view, and they gave a room with an extremely small balcony, 30cm wide, that of course could not host any outdoor furniture!!! ZERO!!! SCAM!!!! They show pictures on their website of the 1 BR Residence with 2 twin beds, and they don’t have them!!! SCAMMERS!!! PERSONNEL DON’T SPEAK ENGLISH AT ALL!!! THEY DON’T UNDERSTAND SUPER BASIC WORDS LIKE WATER, FORK, EGGS, etc. IT’S EMBARRASSING!!!! Obviously not a 5 star hotel!!! STAY AWAY from this place if you don’t want to get scammed and SLEEP WITH ANTS!!!!

I had an apartment with an ocean view and it was on the top floor it was breath taking . Very close to the smalltown center . Getting to and from Cat Ba was no drama , I took a ferry from near Bai Chay for 60,000 vnd and a bus from the Warfe for 40,000vnd , great value

This is an amazing resort in a beautiful setting, it is made up of 3 residences and this isn't very clear. Each residence is linked by a walkway on level 11. It has two beautiful beaches. Breakfast was excellent, The Sky Bar is a must to visit.

Lack of restaurants and bars for such a huge resort. The restaurants were not open. Only one you could eat at, The Sea and it had a limited menu although buffet at the weekend! And found getting from One area to another confusing

The hotel is new and has great facilities, the indoor swimming pool is great and our daughter enjoyed it a lot. The room is big, clean and the bed is very comfortable. The hotel is also quiet and there is not noise at night or early in the morning so you can rest. The breakfast buffet is amazing, great variety and plenty of food.

It seems the hotel is new so there are still some facilities closed and we had to go to the main building to have breakfast in the morning.

The breakfast is great!! Tried it on the beach.

I prefer to take my bath at a STANDING SHOWER ROOM instead of standing in a bath tub. Please consider change it.

Staff were very slow seemed a little snotty we have travelled through Vietnam and this is the only place I have felt uncomfortable. It was hard work to do anything check in check out get a paddle board in the end we didn't bother
