We had a very enjoyable stay at the property. The home was as advertised and the neighborhood was quiet yet super convenient to central St. Louis landmarks such as the Arch and Busch Stadium complex. We also enjoyed the restaurants and bars within walking distance of the property. Only a couple of concerns - the stairs in the house are pretty steep, so be careful with the elderly and very small children. It was also a bit challenging to get the bedrooms upstairs cool on the hotter days without freezing out the downstairs.

The location was great for a SLU graduation. Very quiet neighborhood. I would have given it a 5 star rating, but the communication with the owner/manager was very confusing. Never knew if I should text, call (two numbers given), or message on VRBO site. There was a leak in one of the bathrooms. When I messaged the manager, they asked for the address - not sure why they would not have known that. Communication needs to be easier to access. Also - no instructions for TV, internet. Need a book in the unit that has all of that information. Otherwise, beautiful place!

Great house in a great neighborhood. Very comfortable and clean, walked to restaurants and bars. Park was 2 blocks away, just an awesome experience. St. Louis at its finest!

We loved that there were some toys for the kids to play with. The location is awesome for a jog in the park and an easy drive from major attractions in the city. Lovely neighborhood. We would stay here again.

Our stay was quite lovely. We had a party of 7 adults and everyone was had plenty of space. The St. Louis themed artwork was delightful. Kitchen was spacious and well appointed. A wonderful spot for a long weekend in St. Louis.

The problem with our stay was that the home did not have an adequate heating system, so the first floor was far too cold to enjoy (51 degrees in the evening) and heat was far too hot in the second floor bedrooms (probably over 80). This was discussed at length via multiple message with the host who was very responsive and helpful. She sent an emergency HVAC tech to the house on Christmas day, who diagnosed the problem as having only one heating zone so the downstairs was uncomfortably cold and all the heat was being pushed to the second floor which was far too hot. Even with closing down the upstairs registers, he was not able to balance the system. The host and manager were extremely helpful and generous in providing a substantial refund since we had to find other accommodations to stay with family in St Louis during the day and evenings, returning only at night to sleep. This was compounded by an unfortunate far below-normal cold spell, complicated by the heating zone issue which I was told would be addressed in the future. Kristin, our host, was wonderful to deal with and I was very pleased with the quality, cleanliness, and appearance of the home. This was an unfortunate situation for all, and Kristin was very helpful and accommodating in helping us out of a difficult situation. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this property again, once the HVAC system is changed to a two zone system.

Our family enjoyed our stay very much! It plenty of space for our kids to run round and not feel like we were on top of each other. Beds were very nice. I really appreciated the garage access. Gave us a safe place to park our car wasn’t worried about finding a parking space on the street. Can’t say enough good things! Bonus: we discovered a nice playground just a short walk down the street that our kids enjoyed! Very pleased!

Nice place in an older quiet neighborhood. Plenty of room in the house and the garage was nice to secure our cars. The house was clean but a few thing could be maintained a bit better, like fresh coat of paint, upholstery worn and mattress stained. The manager was very attentive and all the emails I received were timely and full of information. I left something behind on checkout and went back for it and they supplied me with a temporary code to enter after we checked out. We enjoyed our stay.

This home is in a great location, just down the street from the Botanical Center and Tower Grove Park. Just a 10 minute drive to Busch Stadium and not very far from the SLU Medical campus. Very child friendly with baby gates, if needed, toys and a small playground a few doors down. The house was clean and it was nice to have off street parking!

This property had everything I was looking for to make my family comfortable while they visited St. Louis. The home was well stocked. Plenty of space for the entire family. Lots of toys for the kids! I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the city.

This home accommodated our family reunion perfectly! The basement was clean and open, allowing for some play when it was raining outside. Beds were comfortable. Close to STL attractions. I would definitely stay here again

We had family wedding at Wild Carrot on Shaw and this rental worked nicely for our group. Nice to have ice cream shop walkable. It requires a little effort to keep upstairs bedrooms cool but temps were high the whole week we were in St Louis. Toys were helpful, open concept lower level is great!

Well picked toys that the 3 year old enjoyed playing with as well as a few shared with baby sister. Kitchen had minimal but adequate dishes, pans, etc. Out only issue was a broken coffee maker and no pods for the back-up Keurig machine. The next morning the friendly maintenance man went out and got us a new coffee pot when the old one was not fixable. (Starbucks was 6 minutes away until then!) Lovely older 2 flat converted to make this pleasant home. A word of warning, stairs for bedrooms are steep and more than traditional home stairways (maybe 20?) due to the high ceilings. Well designed space, good appliances and fixtures. It was perfect for our weekend needs. And prompt answers to our questions from friendly people was icing on the cake. (Plus a great central location for our weekend activities.) Looking forward to experiencing this again! Thanks Vrbo and ABODEBucks!

The owners/managers were very responsive. We appreciated the prompt responses to our questions. The house was as advertised except the one bedroom has a queen size air mattress. That’s okay when there are children but not so much for a party of mature women. Some information about restaurants and shops in the area would be helpful. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much.

My 2 brothers, our spouses & I ( 50s & 60s) enjoyed this home as our yearly meeting place. The house & neighborhood were both very nice. We were able to park 2 cars in the "garage" & had no trouble parking the 3rd in the street out front. The house was a good size for our group. The 2 sitting areas were great for us. We could be close to one another, but still have 2 different conversations going on. Since we only see each other once a year, that was important. ;-) I believe this is a new rental & they are working on fine tuning the listing. The photos on the site are a very good representation of the home. All the bedrooms are upstairs. A couple of things listed weren't quite right. There are 2 1/2 bathrooms, not 3 full baths. One of the 4 bedrooms has an air bed. The listing does say that, but you might not catch it. The other 3 bedrooms had wonderful mattresses and were VERY comfortable. The final price that you are quoted does NOT include the "stay" insurance that is mentioned in the web site. You can keep the downstairs nice and cool. Even though the downstairs was cool, it was quite hot upstairs. But ...... we figured out that if you shut the vents downstairs at night, the upstairs was a lot more comfortable. It was in the 90s when we were there. The house is a beautiful older home with high ceilings and the attic might not be insulated as well as some homes. Towels were put on the bed for each guest. But wash cloths & extra towels are stored in the master closet. There was a small tool kit in the kitchen, which we appreciated. I was also pleased that they supplied plenty of TP & paper towels. They also supplied body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap & dish liquid. But you need to bring your own Dish Washer detergent. They did a very nice job of remodeling this home. The kitchen & bathrooms are very pretty & paint colors throughout are nice. It has good water pressure & high shower heads. We have a home listed with VRBO that I manage. I really didn't expect the communication to be that great, since this rental has a management company, but I was pleasantly surprised. I needed to contact them a few different times & they got back to me right away. I would recommend this home as a nice rental & if I am in the area again, I would rent it again.
