2nd time there,recommended for large group of friends and/or family, excellent infinity pool, like being at a private resort, close to Chania

We were so fortunate to stay at the Villa Chryssi for our 50th wedding anniversary. We brought the whole family! The accommodations were amazing…beautifully appointed, spacious (12 of us stayed), gourmet kitchen and grill, and the most breathtaking view from the gorgeous pool. Our host was available for any questions/suggestions. Through his guidance we arranged for a beautiful Greek BBQ with a local chief to celebrate our big day. Amazing memories for all of us!!!!

Our group included my in-laws, my husband and myself, our three kids (boys 10, 5, 4) and my brother in-law. When looking for a house, we cared most about making sure we had enough space for our group and we had a view. No matter what pictures you see, they will never do the view justice. If you're going to Crete for sunsets, this is the house for you! There is a ton of outdoor space and the pool and hot tub are both very large. Daily housekeeping was a wonderful bonus because it kept the already clean house spotless. You are are a 10 min drive to a number of beaches and restaurants, and an easy 30 min drive to Chania. For us, it was the perfect blend of being accessible to everything, but also feeling away from it all. The house is massive-- with plenty of space for large groups and though there are a lot of steps-- you can choose bedrooms with fewer stairs to them if needed -- everything worked great for our group ranging from age 4-70+. The one note I'll make for your planning is the house has one main master and then a detached room that could function as a second. The room doesn't work well if you have young kids, but is great if someone wants complete privacy. The remainder of the rooms are all lovely, but while some have either a king bed, good clothing storage, or a shower -- none bring together all three -- so there's not a true second master inside the house. I think this is just helpful for your planning so you know the bedrooms available for your group.

Beautiful villa with stunning sea views and access via jetty. Lovely pool area and definitely worth heating jacuzzi for sunset bubbles. Mary was super helpful in offering advice and arranging restaurants, boat trips and taxis. We loved Taverna Irene and the Sunset Tavern at Stavros, and Tersanas Taverna. Great daily cleaning service from Elsa, and we were very grateful for the late checkout. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Villa Chryssi exceeded our expectations! Such a gorgeous villa. I swam laps every morning in the heated infinity pool. The whole family enjoyed the pool and the hot tub as well. The villa is very spacious and accommodated our whole family of 10 adults and two children under 5. Balconies galore gazing at the sea. Total privacy! You feel like you are at the edge of the world! Stunning sunsets every evening! Barbecue by the pool as well as farm table seating by the pool. The villa has multiple seating areas both indoors and outdoors. Very good air conditioning in every room! Kostas, the manager was so helpful! Mari the hostess was so sweet and so helpful giving us recommendations on restaurants, venues, etc…. She said I am your concierge and I am included in the price!! Haha! I love Mari!! Elizabeth, our cleaning lady came every day and kept the villa spotless. The gardens and the pool were so well kept by Kostas the gardener! I can go on and on about villa Chryssi!!! It was an idyllic vacation for our family!! Highly recommend!

We were a group of artists traveling to explore Greece and create art from what we saw and learned. The property was magnificent, and the entire house comfortable and beautifully furnished and decorated. But the view! The view enticed us and inspired us and fed us emotionally, and we can’t wait to go back. We’re so very happy to have found this perfect haven. Thank you!!!!

Stunning villa perfect for big groups. Plenty of dining areas and sunbathing space, beautifully decorated and the hosts couldn’t have done more to make our stay perfect! Highly recommend Villa Chryssi.
