Mainlyaway is an exceptional property with an outstanding owner. The property itself is super clean with all of the amenities that you can ask for including an outstanding roof deck with fabulous ocean views, lots of kitchen equipment and all of the beach toys you would need. Paul is very accommodating and will welcome you with open arms and our week spent at his property will be filled with lasting memories.

Our family had an amazing week in this beautiful, cozy home. Everything was well thought of. Great ocean view with ideal large family room. Paul was an outstanding host. House was very well located for all of our activities. We literally couldn't have asked for more. Would highly recommend!

This property is a first-rate spot for a Maine shore getaway. The location is excellent, near beaches and the towns of Ogunquit and York, but also on a quiet street with little to distract from the sound of the ocean. The property is spacious with ample living space in addition to the 4 bedrooms. The host was fantastic, and explained the features of the house and how to use them. And he offered both welcome snacks and great tips for local sites. I would definitely stay at this house again!

First of all let me tell you about our host, Paul. Not only did he communicate well before check in, but the day we checked in he stayed to welcome us to the house and walked us through all of the features, all of the rooms, and gave us a wonderful and entertaining overview of the neighborhood and surrounding areas. His attention to detail could be seen from the first impression as we pulled into the drive way to each and every room in the house. We took him up on multiple suggestions on places to go and where to eat and every one was a hit out of the park. This was by far the best experience we have had in our travels and are looking forward to returning again soon. As far as the house, let me say it was by far one of the cleanest, well maintained, and best stocked house we have been to. The rooms were amazingly decorated and the rooftop deck was fantastic. We enjoyed multiple sunrises and some of the best star viewing ever. In addition to the rolling waves and short walks to the coast this is an absolute premier location to all that Maine has to offer. Way to go Paul and Mainley Away!

We LOVED our stay at Mainely away. The house was more beautiful in person than the photos showed. There were six of us staying (3 couples) and we all had our own rooms and own bathrooms. There are four bedrooms, but we chose three bedrooms that maximized the privacy for each couple. The neighborhood was so quiet and the sound proofing of the house was perfect. There were no outside sounds and I slept the best that I have in years ! Hands down, the best feature of the house is the rooftop deck. We spent daytime and nighttime hours up there. It was always so serene and quiet. There was no light pollution so we saw the stars very clearly. We were also able to see an amazing moonrise on our last night. It was spectacular. The house is situated between Portsmouth/Kittery and Portland. We explored all of these cities as well as coastal towns. We loved, loved, loved our stay. You should definitely consider this house if you plan on staying in the area. It is a gem !

The property has beautiful views of the ocean, is immaculate and well maintained. We were welcomed with clear instructions about our stay and a beautiful basket of snacks and drinks to refresh us after long travel! We enjoyed playing games at the long table, the outdoor shower after a day at the beach, and nights staring up at the stars on the rooftop patio. It was a very peaceful week . Sad to leave but hope to come back again soon to the beautiful coast of Maine.

We really enjoyed our week at this home. This home was definitely one of the most favorite rentals that we have stayed in. The owner was friendly and helpful in making us feel welcome. We loved sitting on the roof deck enjoying the ocean view and walking to the small rocky beach. The rooms were decorated beautifully and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location was perfect...just a short driving distance to all the southern Maine beach towns. We would definitely stay at this home again! It fit our family of six perfectly.

This property is immaculate both inside and outside. It has three bedrooms downstairs, one master bath and one hall bath. The master bedroom is very large with several seating areas and the two other bedrooms fit one queen bed each comfortably. Each room has ample closet and drawer space. There is a cozy and comfortable TV room with games downstairs where we set up our grandsons crib. It was perfect! Upstairs is a bedroom off the kitchen with its own bath. The kitchen was well stocked and thanks to Paul he bought a new mixer for us when we inquired if there was one in the house. All the kitchen items were in great shape, all the kitchen drawers were very clean. The living room was cozy for all 7 of us. The dining room table is right off the living space which made it a nice conversational open space. The washing machine and dryer worked well. The location is fantastic. Quiet in an upscale beach neighborhood and close to both York and Ogunquit. We all thought the beds were comfortable and we all hope to come back next year! Paul was very communicative throughout the week and he bought me a beautiful Maine sweatshirt which fits me perfectly! This is by far the nicest rental I have booked in years.

Mainely Away was a beautiful home with so many nice touches from the owner. Upon arrival we were shown around the property and we’re welcomed with a goodie basket that the whole family enjoyed. The home was very comfortable and the rooftop, with the ocean view, was amazing. Lovely touches throughout the home included comfortable furniture and beds with toiletries in all the bathrooms. This house was so inviting and in such a nice area my family would not hesitate to vacation there again! So many great memories were made, one of the best houses we’ve stayed in!

My family stayed at Mainely Away in late June 2022. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property, and especially the hosts! We were traveling in from all over to hold memorial services for both my Mom & older brother, and Paul was incredibly kind and generous to all of us. The home itself is gorgeous, pristine and extremely comfortable. The location is just lovely, with an expansive ocean view from both the rooftop deck and the main living area. Every detail was included, from slippers & bathrobes to emergency lighting, full kitchen supplies and even a delightful selection of specialty teas. A very thoughtful arrival gift basket of goodies and drinks awaited, and Paul even went out of his way to provide a delicious cake, specifically to commemorate my Mom. What an incredibly thoughtful & moving gesture! Without a doubt and despite the circumstances, our stay was the absolute best VRBO experience we've ever had. We now live in Florida, but the NH/ME seacoast is my home, and the area always tugs on my soul when I return. I'm already poring over our calendar and badgering my husband to start a more frequent rotation of visits home, and I will always seek out a stay at Mainely Away. Thank You Paul & Janet!

We had a wonderful time at this property. The house was very clean and spacious. The was plenty of room for my family of seven to spend time together and spend quiet time on our own. We loved walking down to the pebbly beach and viewing the ocean from the rooftop deck. We were even able to see 4th of July fireworks! Paul was very easy to contact and answered any questions we had. Highly recommend!

Wow!! What is there to say about Paul and his house other than that this is the most incredible place and Paul is the most fantastic host! Pictures and words cannot do it justice (although the pictures look very nice--it's even nicer than we imagined!). The house is beautiful, immaculate, incredibly well-kept and spacious, and very comfortable! The two decks are fantastic places to relax and enjoy the fantastic views of the water (or to stargaze!). And the whole house is full of windows to let in the delightful sea breeze. The house has everything you could possibly want (from a fully-stocked kitchen with clear labels on every single drawer and cabinet so you know where everything is to beach chairs and umbrellas to lawn games and bluetooth speakers). Oh and did I mention that the location is perfect? On a quiet street with a great view but just a few minutes from Ogunquit, Perkins Cove, York Beach, and more! And Paul is the most gracious and thoughtful host! He truly thought of everything--including a delicious birthday cake for me because we were celebrating my birthday!!! He was very accomodating to everything we needed. And he was incredibly communicative with tips and suggestions before and during our stay! We truly cannot say enough good things about Paul and his house! When we got home, our son said that he missed Maine and that really, he missed the house. We miss it too!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mainely Away. As promised, Paul met my husband and I at the property to welcome us and give us a tour. The property is beautiful and includes a rooftop deck with an amazing view. The kitchen is well stocked with cooking supplies and the cabinets and drawers are labeled so it is easy to find what you need. Our group included eight adults and there was plenty of room for us to gather together and places for us to spread out and have quiet time to ourselves. The home is situated between Ogunquit and York and our family enjoyed exploring both towns as well as taking a trip up to Portland about forty minutes away. It is obvious Paul and his wife take great pride in their home and they want their guests to feel comfortable and welcome during their stay. Our family had a wonderful trip and we highly recommend Mainely Away for your summer vacation.

Mainely Away was a wonderful home for four couples. The views from the rooftop were spectacular. The walks along the Lane were even more breathtaking. Paul was quick to respond and provided a lot of helpful information before and during the trip. In fact, just days before our trip, we learned one of our friends needed access to an electric scooter. Within 15 minutes of my inquiry, Paul had arranged for a scooter to be delivered & picked-up from the house (all they had to do was provide their credit information). The scooter was waiting when we arrived. He left a welcome package with awesome snacks (which we devoured). He even provided some baking essentials so I could make our favorite pound cake which we all enjoyed for breakfast daily. He even provided helpful parking hints for the area. The house was meticulously clean. The only negative was we wished it would have had a bathroom for each bedroom but we’re good traveling friends and made it work… besides the house itself, the location and surrounding views outweighed the lack of a 4th bathroom.

We had a great time at Mainely Away! It is beautiful and immaculate and in a great location. Paul is a great host and we enjoyed our welcome basket items very much. So many thoughtful touches made our stay unique and unforgettable. Definitely recommend!

My husband and I stayed in this immaculate newly renovated home for four nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Three of the bedrooms are downstairs, including the large master with a king size bed. On the second level there is a wonderful large room with beautiful views and a deck with a table and chairs to have a meal or drink or just sit and read. There is an exclusive home and the ocean across the street. The waves are large and you can enjoy the sound of them and also a short walk away you can go see them. It was a great site to see nature in action. The kitchen is very nice with everything you need if you choose to cook some meals. Paul left us a very thoughtful and delicious basket of treats. He was available for anything and everything you may need. We would have liked if the TV was more than a Smart TV but I don’t think that is much of a concern to most people. Just happened to be a time with things we were anxious to watch. The area around the home is very charming, magnificent landscaping, great for walks and not real close to necessities, but really not too long of a drive. We went to the Cape Neddick Lobster House twice and sat on two different decks outside with very nice views on a lake. It was only 5 minutes or so from the house. Highly recommend it. Paul is extremely thorough in describing everything you need to know and has an amazing detailed helpful list of restaurants and things to do in the area. My husband commented that in all the Vacation͎ rentals we have stayed at that this one was the cleanest. It was clearly just renovated and in very good taste. There are steps to go upstairs to family room, kitchen and bedroom and deck. Another winding staircase takes you to a very special spot on the roof with great views of the ocean with the awesome sounds and views of the waves and boats. In a very lovely quiet location but minutes to so much. In between York and Ogunquit - around 10 minutes to each. Highly recommend staying in this special home.

Wonderful property in a great location very close to the beach. The house has everything one needs: a well-stocked kitchen, great views, sufficient places to socialize or read quietly, and an excellent assortment of games. Our favorite room was the sunporch off the main living space as it was a great place to relax, listen to the ocean and play a few games. Paul is incredibly responsive and has thoughtfully stocked the house with many "extras" including slippers and robes for all guests.

This place is definitely one I recommend. The owner greeted us with a welcome basket of goodies; the place was very clean and comfortable; and one will really enjoy an escape here. Great communication with owner who takes great pride in his rental. A +

Our family had a wonderful time at this beautiful home near Ogunquit. The location was perfect for us - away from the crowds in town, but so close to both Ogunquit and York. The layout of the house was great for our multi-generational family; everyone had their own space when they wanted to retreat. We made a lot of use of the roof top deck - relaxing with the ocean view, reading, playing games and just hanging out. Paul was a very attentive host - he's thought of everything! We were able to just relax and enjoy the week. We hope to return next year!

The house is located in a beautiful, coastal neighborhood between Ogunquit and Short Sand beach in York. The house was very clean. The rooftop deck is a great space to entertain.
