Fantastic place!! The house was clean, well appointed with everything we needed and in a great location. Josef was an excellent host, easy to get ahold of and friendly. He gave an early checkin without us even asking. I would highly recommend this place and will use it again if I’m in Santa Barbara.

This is the perfect place to stay when checking out SB and the area! Best equipped rental we have ever stayed in. Lovely outdoor space to hang and cook out topped only by the excellently supplied kitchen. Thoroughly enjoyed this stay and the host is tops!

Communication rated at 2 stars as we did have some difficulties: our first two attempts to book the property expired but once we messaged the host he confirmed the booking; we had to message the host to receive check-in instructions as they weren’t sent out automatically. Once at the property, the host responded promptly to texts related to fans and cooling down the house (kitchen area really warms up with the afternoon sun so open windows to create a cross-breeze!). The house is well-equipped and super-comfortable for a group of 4 adults. It’s close to State Street, a Ralph’s grocery store (we prepared several meals and enjoyed the flat-top!), and a short-ish walk to the beach. Glad we persisted and were able to book this home-away-from-home and would stay here again if we were to return to Santa Barbara!

This is a very beautiful and comfortable property. Love the decor and layout. The kitchen is stocked with everything we needed. Beds are very comfortable and showers are great. The location made everything very convenient.

We loved our stay. We visited with our adult son, so the two bedrooms both with en-suite bathrooms were perfect! The house is lovely, clean, modern and well appointed in great location. Short walk to downtown. Check in and out was easy. Convenient parking in lot across the road. We enjoyed the barbecue and fire pit. Would love to go back. Highly recommend!

Great bungalow steps from downtown SB. Walk to everywhere. Beds are comfortable and house is incredibly well equipped! Fantastic overall experience and would rent again!

This house was perfect for a long weekend for 2 couples. Very comfortable and well-furnished if you want to stay in, great location with plenty of shopping/restaurants nearby if want to venture out. Check-in and communication with Josef very easy. Highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.

We stayed at Josef's beautiful property with our daughter and her fiance for a wedding planning weekend. We loved our stay! The house is close to State street and is in walking distance to restaurants, shops, etc. It is beautifully decorated and appointed; it had everything we needed. We opted to eat out because we were often meeting friends from the area, but the kitchen has everything you need for gourmet meals. Josef was quick to respond, and had great restaurant recommendations. We were sad to see that it is already booked for the wedding dates, as we would have recommended it to guests. We would definitely stay there again!

We have come to Santa Barbara from Wisconsin for 15 winters, staying from one week to six weeks. Most years we stayed in the Mesa in a place we grew to love. When it became too expensive for us to spend a month in Santa Barbara we looked for a nicer place for a shorter time frame. This home is lovely. It is nicer even than advertised. It is immaculate and tastefully decorated. It is warm and inviting and we hope to be able to return next year. This is an inviting and comfortable home. We loved out stay here.

The place was nicely appointed and we had a nice time. However the grill didn’t work. We called the owner and he couldn’t get someone to look at it for a few days but he said he would refund us $50 per day until it could be fixed. Later that week the hot water heater quit working so we had no hot water for two days. Called the owner had someone come out and fix it. The owner said he would refund two days cost because of that. We had to leave two days early due to a family medical emergency. We have yet to receive any refund from the owner, he seemed very nice but the proof is in the pudding. We probably wouldn’t rent from him again.

Two adults each had our own area (bed and bath) but the rest of the house was spacious, beautifully decorated, it suited our needs perfectly. The photos are accurate. Great place for a couple or two singles-

Our stay was just lovely. The house is cozy and super clean and has all the stuff you need for a few days. The best part is it’s literally a block or two away from anything you need… Restaurants, coffee, shopping, theaters, or whatever you’re into in downtown State Street area. The decor is a beachy coastal, everything is nice and light and bright.
Josef the owner was very attentive and checked in with us, and left us a lovely welcome basket with wine and cookies and snacks, along with the parking pass you need for parking across the street.
Although, no parking, there is a small parking lot across the street and it is safe. We were there for a wedding, and we were able to walk to the courthouse, and also to the nearby Inn where the reception was. Great location.

The house was beautiful and clean. There was a nice backyard patio with a propane fireplace and many beautiful plants and a gorgeous palm tree.it was a nice place to have morning coffee. The location was convenient and in walking distance to stores. When we first got there the house was very hot. We turned on the AC which we later found out didn’t work. It was advertised as having AC. After the house cooled naturally it wasn’t really needed. There were fans that helped with cooling it down. The property owner was most communicative the day before and of our arrival. We got a very nice welcome basket. We were disappointed that the neighborhood kitty didn’t show up but we were visited by a possum one night!
Overall a most pleasant stay. We’d definitely book again.

We spent three nights in this Santa Barbara home and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. Location is excellent, property was clean, well laid out and the Santa Barbara gift basket was a wonderful treat. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay in a beautiful, clean home close to downtown.

This property was very nice. It had everything we needed. It was very comfortable. The beds were great which is so important when traveling. Plenty of space in the bedrooms for your luggage and clothes. Loved the large kitchen too. Very close proximity to the downtown area. Overall, a wonderful place to stay!!

This was my second stay at the property. Would definitely stay again. House is comfortable, very clean and has everything one needs for a relaxing, enjoyable stay. The location is perfect. Easy, short walk to State Street and all the restaurants and shops.

Nice cottage for two couples with easy walking distance to all the attractions of State Street and downtowns area. Neighborhood around the cottage was mostly commercial but quiet at night.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is such an easy walk to downtown and grocery store. Great front porch to start with coffee. The beds are very comfortable and big fluffy towels. The kitchen has everything you need. It is very spacious. The living room has very comfortable couches. There is even a small outdoor space with a fire pit table. We would highly recommend this place. Great value.

This home is beautiful! It is spacious and sunny! Do not hesitate to book this stay! Josef communicated quickly and is so sweet! All the amenities--washer and dryer, beach towels and chairs, fabulous shower and the list goes on!!

Our stay could not have been better. Josef was the most responsive host and the home exceeded expectations. It was immaculate and stocked with all we needed. We enjoyed the outdoor space as well. We hope to be back with every visit to Santa Barbara .

The house was very warm and inviting with lots of living space to just hang out. Nice details like crisp linens to full washer and dryer. Also in a great location to grab some food or a cup of coffee. Great place!

Enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. Well appointed. Kitchen had many tools for cooking as well as extra mini appliances: toaster oven, ninja blender with many accessories. BBQ available as well as table top fireplace in patio area. Walking distance to state st. We were two couples and we felt very uncomfortable. We will stay here again. Thanks Josef

My husband and I live in Oregon and our friends in Arizona. We used Santa Barbara as a meeting place. We stayed a week at Josef's property and could not have enjoyed ourselves more. The large living space had a place for everyone to sit and relax. The kitchen was well stocked to prepare a few meals. On the days we did not feel like cooking for ourselves there were many nearby restaurants to choose from. We would definitely stay again.

We had an incredible time in Santa Barbara! The home was in a great location for walking to State Street. The home had a large kitchen with everything we needed. Josef was a great communicator and was accommodating of our needs on the day of check in as we had a wedding at the same time.

It was an amazing home in a great location and beautifully appointed. They even had a basket with wine and a few snacks. I haven’t seen that in quite a while. The only negative, which is truly minor, is there was no ice maker, and no ice trays to make ice. It is just nice to have the option. Enjoy your stay, as I truly enjoyed the home.

This property was top notch! The house and outside accommodations were the best. The kitchen was large enough for all to 'hang out' and enjoy cocktails and appetizers. The outside seating and fire pit were great in the evening. This is a 'must stay' place to go to when in Santa Barbara. It is a few blocks off of State Street that offers lots of dining options and shopping. We will keep this VRBO in mind for the next visit, since we have family in Santa Barbara.

This house is a great place to stay to experience Santa Barbara. Close to everything. Easy in and out. The house has everything you need, the appliances are high end, beds comfortable. My only small criticism is that there is not an ice maker, nor ice trays. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Great location walking distance from restaurants and coffee. We stayed as 2 couples and it was plenty of space. Large common area and kitchen to relax. There was a welcome basket of snacks and wine upon arrival. Would stay again next time we’re in town.

This is such a pretty house equipped with everything you could need for your stay, particularly appreciated the very generous welcome basket of goodies which was left for us when we arrived, just what you need after a long journey. Comfy beds and the property is nice and close to restaurants and shops so a handy location. Communication with the host was excellent.
