Our quick overnight stay was amazing! The beds were comfy and the house was very clean. The only issue we had was slipping on the stair cover several times.
You can't wear socks on the plastic cover without slipping and if you went down too "fast" you would definitely slip and fall. So be cautious on the steps!

The stay at this place went off without a hitch. Nice enough place, some strange rules like no drinks on the upstairs patio, but no big deal. Easy enough to follow. After the stay, I got a picture of wear marks in two of the bedrooms and a note from the owner saying "this has to be taken care of" followed by a swift charge over one thousand dollars to replace the carpet in both rooms. No food or drink or outside substances were brought into the bedrooms, and one of them already had (what looked like) a yellow vomit stain in one of the bedrooms when we checked in. No further communication has occurred since I refuted the photos, and I don't expect any. Fortunately I had the foresight to pay for the optional renter's insurance which covered the bogus claim. Maybe the insurance is why they submitted a claim, because they knew they could get away with it? It's unclear, but the property owner really operated with poor integrity in my opinion. The property itself is fine, but I would never recommend working with this owner. My first disappointing VRBO experience.

Property is as shown in the pictures and conveniently located. Parking was readily available and we were able to park one truck in the garage/carport. Rental was comparable to “hotel clean”. All the beds were comfortable; could use blackout drapes in the 2nd level bedrooms. The only disappointment was there is a possibility of rental/tenant in the basement. I believe that should’ve been disclosed in the listing. We wouldn’t have minded so much, but the basement stairs are open to the main house. Not sure it the basement door locked on both sides as the house rules clearly stated to STAY AWAY so we never checked. I don’t believe there was someone in the unit during our stay, but the listing should’ve disclosed it or host should note that the basement door is locked from both sides for peace of mind.

Lovely home. Very clean. Close to some great attractions and restaurants. Accommodating host and helpful when our AC went out during a heat wave!! Thanks.

the house was where we wanted to be but.... When we arrived the house temp 86 on 1st floor 92 on 2nd floor and well in the 100's on top level. We arrived at 7:30 evening and it took several calls/voice mails to reach the host. Also called Vrbo for the 24 hour emergency service it was 11:00pm before we were able to reach anyone. The Host/Owner came to house was unable to fix AC unit told us to stay and he would try to fix it in morning. Mind you there are 5 of us (Child and pets) we were not going to stay in this heat box. My dogs were panting and we were all very miserable. This was to be a weekend stay that went horribly wrong. I asked for a full refund and we had to last minute find a hotel with 2 rooms and accepted pets. Never again will I book with this property. The only reason the host?owner came at 11pm is because vrbo contacted him separately we had a 3 way call. He did not answer any phone calls from myself or my daughter.

House is beautiful, communication is wonderful, still the stay left some to be desired.
The house is brand new, and with that comes amazing details. The bathrooms are top notch. The house has great decor. Bedrooms are spacious. The communication with the Owner/Manager was great. I had a few questions regarding checking in, and they answered promptly and were kind. We settled in and decided to make dinner for the evening. One thing we noticed is that the kitchen is either missing some essentials, or has the bare minimum for what is needed. We only stayed a few days, so we made it work. If someone was staying a full week, they may need to bring some kitchenware.
The real downside for us was things related to cleanliness. There was food melted in the oven (melted through the rack and on the bottom). We went to start a load of laundry and found a dirty load of towels greeting us in the washing machine (we went ahead and washed them). While we were washing the towels, the main floor began to fill with this terrible smell. We concluded that the drainage from the washing machine makes it's way into the drain in the cabinet on the main floor, and creates a horrible smell. So we decided to wait to wash our clothes after everyone went to bed in the upper floors.
The only other thing, is the rules plastered all over the property. Same set of rules at that. 2 copies in every room. 1 at bottom stairs. 1 at top of stairs. 1 in each bathroom. The owner could make it more welcoming by having it all in one centralized location. Add some "things to do." Maybe add some favorite places to eat for the travelers. These are just some examples we've seen from other properties we've stayed at. Your rules are your rules, and as a traveler, I can definitely understand them. But I don't need to be reminded every 5 feet to clean up after my dog, or no "snacks" on the rooftop patio.
Bottom line, the house is very nice and close to some very nice amenities. Some things regarding upkeep need to be addressed. I hope they get them sorted out and are able to share this property with many others.

Great House!
The house was great; it met all of our needs for a quick trip to STL. Everything looks fairly new if not brand new and worked well.
There is still ongoing work on the lower level (you know in advance that it's not accessible to you) but no construction activity going on while we were there.
The street was quiet but it's walkable to the very active Manchester Ave and the Grove section of town (1 block to Urban Chestnut Brewery). The garage is accessible through an Alley in the back making coming and going a breeze and no issues with parking.
