Spacious nicely decorated room. Quiet at night. Well equipped. Liked the sofa and a table and chairs + window seat in room. Breakfasts great. Staff amazing.

Variable quality of food depending on what was chosen. Beams were low and dominated the room making it appear dark.

The only thing I didn't like was that there wasn't anyone around for me to hand my key into when I left so I just put it on the bar

The room decor was good and modern but it smelt of body odor. It looked cleaned but smelt dirty. The coffee cups didn't fit under the coffee machine

Bed was most uncomfortable, very poor quality mattress. Due to the age of the property the floor sloped and so you felt as though you were falling out of bed! The room was not serviced during our 2 night stay. On arrival there was no toilet paper or tissues in the bathroom. The central light bulb was not working. Theses were rectified when pointed out. Staff very unfriendly at breakfast on our first morning.. no good morning greeting.. choice of cereals limited, only one type of juice available, main choice of full English breakfast or eggs on toast.. no other choices! Only tea or coffee.. no other choices! Very poor value for money considering £140 per night b&b

Just an absolute cracking stay……2 nights of comfort, superb food and amazingly wonderfully efficient and friendly staff……Loved it!

Traffic noise comes to the room.

The room was beautifully decorated and big. The food was gorgeous we had an evening meal and stayed for breakfast.

The only thing was the door to the room had a gap in it so you could see and hear people walking past the room. We understand it is a very old building so we liked the quirkiness but that just niggled me a little.

We had prior communication before we arrived which was efficient & prompt. We arrived at the Inn around 6:30pm and shown to our room which was very clean & comfortable. We booked a table in the bar as we wanted to do the quiz too! very nice place to stay with kind & friendly locals and hosts! The bar menu isn’t extensive but plenty of choice & specials available too. Breakfast was good with choice of full English, kippers, ham & eggs, cereal etc! Very dog friendly, we would all stay again!

What a wee gem. Lovely Inn with rooms and great staff. Food looked great. Quality bedding and well appointed facilities. Room was warm with a lovely view up the hill at the back and a wee window seat. Cracking oak beams.

The air freshners. The steep stairs might become a challenge. The green emergency light.

The room was incredibly dusty. It was all over the items in the room, on the bedding too! Mould on the window frame. Mould and Damp on the wall, with the wallpaper peeling off, in a prominent area. Green ceiling light over the bed, not helpful for sleeping. Boiler made a lot of noise early in the morning, to the level I thought something was wrong, it got me up to check. The food was well presented, however, the medium cooked steak was tough, even with a steak knife.

The room was in a great condition, and very spacious. Other reviews mention that the accommodation appears to have been refurbished recently, and I'd agree (it's also been kept in good nick too though). The location is good, though if you're travelling via public transport you're at the mercy of the train and bus timetables. The village is quaint, but if you're looking for more substantial places to eat, drink and shop you'll want to venture into nearby Settle.

The WiFi wasn't great which, considering phone signal in the area can be patchy, is a bit of a hindrance when trying to book or plan anything.

The room was fantastic, so much space and incredibly clean and comfortable! It was quiet and easy to relax in the room. The facilities were perfect for a quiet night away, could happily have stayed longer. The breakfast was hot and fresh and really tasty I would highly recommend it. They had great recommendations for local walks and activities for every age.

There was nothing to dislike, other than regretting not booking an extra night or two. Everyone was fantastic and very welcoming, would highly recommend to others and hope to visit again soon.

Excellent room, bed, pub, service, breakfast. Highly recommended for an overnight or two near some excellent walks.
