Arrived late after flying from far away.
Waited and waited at the front desk. Looked everywhere for the luggage cart. Was told only bellmen were permitted to use it. First I have ever heard of this. The cheapest of properties let you use the cart.
Finally checked in, elevator does not work properly.
Treated like criminals and trespassers by security/lobby staff.
Curly hairs on the bathroom floor. Clearly not ours.
The food was OK and the restaurant staff was good.
I wanted to make the last night of our vacation special but was treated badly by my own neighbors (I live in Oakland).
Done with Marriott properties, sticking with Patel Properties from now on. They appreciate customers.

This was the first time I stayed at this property because of a work-related trip and it was really worth it. An excellent and friendly customer service experience is yours for the taking if you so decide!!

It was very nice, it’s just that all around the properties were signs saying there are often car break ins. That was concerning, but we parked in a garage so we had no problem.

The location can’t be beat for walking distance to Jack London, Chinatown or a BART station. The hotels amenities from the valet, front desk, restaurant and overall attention to room aesthetics is outstanding.
Quality top to bottom. Would stay here anytime I need to be close to DT OAK.

Great location, large and clean room with plenty of storage and closet space. It’s only a few blocks from a Bart entrance which we didn’t need on this room.

Great hotel, would stay again. Negative #1, the restaurant/bar was closed 20 minutes before the posted time, and on a Saturday night. Negative #2, very interesting placement for the toilet paper. Still a very clean and safe hotel with daily maid service. 👍

The staff was amazing and very attentive except the guy who worked Sunday breakfast behind the bar. He was extremely rude and aloof. Totally ignored me and other folks trying to get his attention!

The bathroom didn't have a vent fan and the door almost hit the toilet because the bathroom was so small. Parking fees were not clear at booking nor easily understood when explained at the front desk.

Hotel reservation desk machine was not accepting any credit cards. Staff was not supportive. Nothing wrong with cards itself as they were working outside

The first time I've had a disppointing stay. When I checked in and got to my room my key didn't work. Security let me in to drop my luggage, I went down to the front desk, got re-key'd and it still didn't work. Finally, Maintenance had to come and get keys that worked. The furnishings in the room are really shabby and worn out. Otherwise the staff was very friendly as always.

Drove up with my family for a Dodger game and was pleasantly surprised at how much the area has changed and attentiveness of the staff on property.

Decor looked fresh pops of color. Very busy, it was Mothers Day weekend as well as Graduation @ Cal Berkeley! Lots of people checking in. Longer wait times. The hotel rooms were nicely decorated and most important they were very clean! They also had a nice bar downstairs!!!

The only thing i didnt like about the property was that the shower had two bottles of shampoo and one bottle of conditioner instead of a bottle of body soap. I also did not like the water pressure in the bathroom. But everything was actually quite nice . The staff at the restaurant was super sweet and professional. I also like the staff at the front desk. Very understanding and professional as well. Will definitely stay there again . The water pressure and soap issues were quite minor and would not deter me feom staying again

Walking the dog was a little gross because sidewalks were so dirty. But, we would bring the dog in and immediately clean her paws in the bathtub. So it was ok. My housekeeper josefina was always very helpful as was the front desk. Nice stay

Good hotel, the only issue was the area itself which I think might be Oakland in general from what our taxi driver was saying. The staff were friendly and helped with any requests.
