Check-in was smooth. While waiting, I overheard the clerk telling the couple in front of me that there was a shuttle to town & just call when you are done and they will also pick you up. There were no signs about the shuttle, however, my friend & I used it Sat night. Sunday came around and they said they didn't offer it on Sunday. Just was strange that there wasn't a sign or hours/days posted, especially because there are so many other hotels in the shopping/dinning area. You would think this hotel would try to compete better with other hotels, even if they charged a small fee each way. I'd probably stay at a different place next time, especially if it was cooler weather. Also, very limited hours for food/bar area.

Hotel was clean and well appointed. No free breakfast and food served was mediocre and expensive. Chairs/sofa in rooms were not comfortable.

So it was t the best experience. We arrived and check in was easy. Staff terrific. Got to our room. Seemed ok. Decided to pull the bed covers down bc I was cold and wanted to get under some blankets. Found a pair of dirty panties. Tried to call the front desk but phone was out of order. Went to the front desk and quietly explained the issue and they were appropriately horrified and came right away and changed all bedding on both beds. Later in the evening we noticed there was a blood stain on the new sheets. Walked to the front desk and let them know. Again they were highly responsive and came to change the sheets immediately. Went to the coffee bar and bought coffee. Milk dispenser had dried milk cakes on the spout which I scraped off. Went to get a cup of water from the dispenser in the lobby which had a ton of ice in it so I assumed it was likely fresh. Tasted awful. Like pipes. There is a sign in the bathroom saying if you don’t want clean towels daily to hook that sign on the towel bar (where it already was) and I didn’t notice the sign till we were leaving. But didn’t matter bc nobody came to clean the room and make the beds. As bad as this review sounds, the hotel is not terrible. Staff is great. Just needs a bit more attention. We probably won’t return because there are other options in the area but it wouldn’t be a travesty if we stayed there again. Hate to write this review but there were too many things adding up.

Hotel/ room finishes and quality w were high. Only criticism are the TV doesn't rotate adequately towards the bed and the AC is difficult to modulate for temperature and fan shooed

Clean and comfortable. The check-in staff and Bistro staff were all professional, competent and very courteous. They did not have the king room I reserved, though (even though non-refundable) so that cost them a star overall.

It served the purpose of what we needed.

First-by booking through Hotels.com I was not allowed to get my military discount that the hotel does normally offer. Second-our stay was for two people for two nights. The hotel did not clean our room which is fine to not make the beds, but…..there was only one roll of toilet paper, one tiny bar of soap, one days worth of coffee and no free breakfast. For a room that still cost 250.00 a night they should have had those things without a call to the front desk.

staff was very accomodating when we requested an early check to allow us to dress for a wedding.

This hotel is very nice and near everything Portsmouth has to offer. It's also right near Maine and the Kittery outlets...

From the moment I walked into the lobby, I felt welcomed. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. I love the shuttle to downtown, too! Great location and amenities. I definitely recommend staying here.

Shuttle into town is great

Check in was efficient and pleasant. Selected room on floor one. Room 126 was spotless and WiFi is great particularly when Netflix (my account) is available. Also like curved couch facing entertainment center. Little bit noisy at night because of highway, but bed was comfortable!

I stayed two nights. First night the fire alarm went off for no reason in the middle of a cold January night. Everyone went outside. We waited for a while until the fire department arrived. Next morning I asked what happened and maintenance guy told me the sensor was dusty, haha. It was a stupidest thing I ever heard of. My room was very cold cause the heater wasn't working properly. I told the night manager about the problem. He didn't care much. He didn't even offer to put me into a different room . He just said he didn't have a maintenance guy until next morning, so I spent the second night freezing in my room . Maintenance person never showed up. I'd never stay here again.

A horrible stay wouldn’t recommend something very outdated, dirty, or loud—just an overall terrible stay. We woke up to the fire alarm going off in our room early in the morning. We tried buzzing the front office multiple times with zero answers to see if it was an emergency since no one was running out of the building or rooms. It turns out it’s a dirty, outdated smoke detector, and it’s “normal” to go off on and on. I would like a refund for the disappointing hotel experience of being woken up in fear.

We booked a king bed and they gave it away. House keeping never came by after our first night.
