Front desk reception personnel were indifferent. Not rude, just not helpful. Did NOT respect my platinum level status.

The shower sink barely dribbles water in Rm 2015. Some railings on 2nd floor walkway need refinishing

This is our second time staying here and we like the property. The staff is multilingual and attentive. We go in early September which seems to be the off season so on one of our days we had the pool to ourselves. The hotel is situated so that we could take day tours to La Paz waterfalls garden, arenal volcano for zip lining and hot springs, Manual Antonio National park. Tortuguero Etc. they are long day tours but San Jose is centrally located for the most part. The staff at this hotel are amazing. Many remember our names and are very helpful with inquiries. We used the day spa as well and were able to reserve the day of on the first visit and we booked in advance for the second go. They are building another Hilton right across the street and we understood that they are off the same owners so this property will only get better fingers crossed. There is a small casino on site and a swim up bar at the pool. Many of the staff have been at this hotel for decades which to me is a testament of how well they are received. I hope you enjoy your stay if you select this hotel. We sure did.

We loved the inside/outside concept of the hotel and the breakfast was absolutely amazing! The esthetics of the hotel made our stay so enjoyable.

The staff was very kind and professional. When we arrived our room was not ready and they had upgraded us because of maintenance being done in our room. They allowed us access to the lounge so that we could relax while we waited. Overall the only suggestion is to have the pool heated during colder times. It was very hard to enjoy the pool because it was cold.

Could not reach anyone at the property by phone after 6pm. No warm water most of our stay. All dining is outdoors.
