My family checked in on Monday, September 2, 2024 at 4:30pm at Embassy Suites by Hilton located in St. Louis Missouri. After receiving my key card, we entered room # on the second floor and saw a cockroach crawling on the wall after being in the room for 15mins. My family and I went down to the front desk to report it to the night manager (written on his name tag). He did not apologize at all and said that the 4th & 5th floors are closed due to maintenance. He issued a new room on the 3rd floor room #. We entered the room, did not notice any cockroaches but the dressers were dirty with white stains on the front of the drawers. This was Labor Day night and I didn’t want to go through the hassle of finding a new hotel with my big family. We slept the night and the next morning, I found a baby cockroach by the window ledge. Upon checking out on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, I told the front desk lady about the cockroaches and asked if the hotel has a cockroach problem. She did not answer my question. Instead, she asked if I reported the incident last night, which I told her I reported the issue to the night manager. She claimed that she will let management know about the issue and offer to issue some hotel points. I told her that whether she issue points of not, I am going to report the hotel.

Hotel is beautiful however there is not enough staff.

The hotel itself is very nice. Disappointed that there was no nearby parking available, so a $50 valet was our only option. Although the gentleman helping us to our room was very courteous, he smelled heavily of Marijuana. The complementary happy hour and made to order breakfast was extremely nice.

Love it and would come back!

No conditioner in bathroom. Otherwise it was fantastic.

Not happy with the stay. It was impossible to sleep all night long due to the loud noise of emptying dumpsters between 1:30am and 6:30am (every 30min to 1h).

Worse reception at any other embassy ive stayed at. Breakfast was yummy but still less selections then oyhers. Rooms were nice very comfy.

Rooms were spacious and clean..the breakfast was amazing!! Room service for the restaurant in the hotel was fast and the food delicious. Would definitely go back again!

The suite was huge. Plenty of room. Valet parking. Staff was courteous and polite. Would stay there again.

The Embassy Suites has a great curbside valet service with reasonable $47/day parking rates. Almost everything we wanted to see was within walking distance - food, the Gateway Arch, Eads Bridge, and Cards game. The area must be in the middle of renovation bc the streets were well maintained with greenery and landscaping, but several businesses near the riverside were closed or under repair. The complimentary evening drinks and snacks from the hotel was great for my husband and me and the kids.

I would say once upon a time this hotel was excellent. The rooms were spacious, large dining area with a fabulous reception and breakfast. However, our room’s pull out couch was covered in crumbs when I went to use it. They told me they could not clean the bed, but would be able to give me clean sheets. The cook at the restaurant’s grill yelled at my child and me for taking silverware (she wanted us to take plastic ware). The hot tub was out of order. Also the pool was cloudy. The hotel has so much potential, but should be marked average.

We really enjoyed our stay! Excellent customer service and the room was clean, modern, and spacious. We will definitely stay here again! It is also within walking distance to Busch Stadium and several good restaurants.

The hotel was spacious and quiet. We appreciated that the room we stayed in was updated and cleanly.

The hotel staff was very friendly, helpful and informative. They were quick to assist with anything we needed. Hot tub was not in working condition. Our bathroom wasn’t very clean and the pull out couch had no sheet and they only supplied a pillow and small blanket.Within walking distance of everything downtown.

When entering an elevator a pitbull lunged and growled. The kid holding the leash could barely handle the dog. Horrible experience, hotel personal were no chalant, “this is a pet friendly hotel and we do not discriminate against dog’s races. Took 25 minutes to check in My room was not turned over for my 2nd night They gave me another room. The shower handle did not work properly so no say to take a shower. Worst hotel by far

Too expensive. $300/night $47/night for parking, pay for wifi. Nothing special for that price, yes the rooms are suites but its still just a typical standard room. The pillows go flat, we had a room for 6 and there were only 4 towels and 1 pillow for the pull out couch. Room never got comfortably cold even though the AC ran all the time. Bathroom sink clogged, stained pillow and comfortor. LOTS of street noise at night (yes not hotel fault, just how it is being downtown). Wait for breakfast was about 20-30 min line everyday. Constantly running out of food or drinks and having to find an employee to refill. Very small indoor pool and hot tub did not work. Staff was superb! Front desk, valet, housekeeping, food service workers- all amazing with great customer service.

The staff is great. Very helpful and friendly. Our room was fairly clean (shower/bathroom floors needed some attention) and our room was spacious! The bed was comfortable. The ice maker on our floor was broke our entire stay :(

The pool was very small and only 3 ft deep. There was not much room for my kids to play. Also the hot tub was drained and there were no towels at the pool. At breakfast there were long lines and we had to wait for multiple things to be refilled.

Great Hotel and Staff. Just be prepared for the price of parking!

Not having a parking lot and having to pay so much for valet parking was an unwanted extra expense I will most likely choose a similarly priced hotel near by that had a parking lot and parking provided
