Had a layover in Miami and wanted to see Miami Beach.
The hostel is what it is: an affordable place to stay near the beach. Accommodations are simple and adequate, nothing fancy. Neighborhood is safe. Walking distance to the famous South Beach strip.
Great for backpackers. Not recommended as a romantic getaway.

Breakfast was just cereal and toast, never got to see what dinner was and was never offered when first came to the Hostel even pizza from the many pizza boxes that were in reception, other than that, too to myself and bathroom facilities were ok to standard.

Great hostel to rent if you want a more quiet and peaceful atmosphere. Only a short 10-15 min walk to the beach. Special thanks to Nicole at the front desk for providing me with directions on how to get to the beach fast and where to find the resources that I needed.

Did not stay due to not feeling completely safe ..
my private dorm was at theme of a row of bunk beds that had empty beer cans on the floor and some very strung out individuals. Ca not speak for the women’s dorm or mixed dorm , can only attest to what I saw. The staff seemed very nice

I checked into the hostel and booked the private room, it was honestly a closet that has been equipped with a single bed and the aircon was broken and constantly made a ticking noise every 5 seconds. They should mention that the shared room you are sharing with 12 people and 1 bathroom that was disgusting. I checked out after barely sleeping at all my first night and booked somewhere else, would not recommend.

Almost Zero water pressure in the lukewarm shower. My key card was disabled 1 hour before checkout (computer error?) and the toilet had a water leak from the base.
You have to make the most of bargain budget short stays, but living in stress is not a way to spend days in Miami.

I booked a private room, which i didn't get. The private rooms are listed as just one bed in a small room which i didn't get. They were going to put me in one of the shared rooms, after telling them that it isn't what i paid for they put me in an empty shared room. In the middle of the night while i had to go to the washroom, I turn on the light and saw 2 roaches. I was not happy. This place is a dump!

The pictures on Expedia for the room I picked is completely different to reality. It really was a rip off. The hostel was a rathole. Definitely not apt for business travel. The room was not really a room, no windows. Just a hole towards the end of the dormitory that smelled terribly. Breakfast was a bit of cereal and milk, not even orange juice. I surgery taking the property off Expedia. I found cockroaches in the room.

I prepaid a reservation for a private room through hotels.com (Expedia) Upon arrival, the hostel claimed they did not have the reservation and was sold out so I was stuck in Miami Beach with no place to stay. I showed the hostel my confirmation email and my receipt, but they didn’t help at all and didn’t offer me any alternative. I wasted 3 hours at the hostel while on the phone with Expedia customer service to no avail.
Expedia was initially unhelpful and offered to put me up in a place 30 miles away, but not pay for a taxi to get me there.
Be careful, this hostel is very disorganized and couldn’t find the reservation and not helpful at all.

Not recommended for handicapped people. Beds are 6" off the ground. Steps up into the rooms. "Dining" is on the second floor, no elevator. All activities promised (Bar onsite, movie night, salsa night, etc) don't exist, only at their "other property". Breakfast is cereal and toast, dinner some version of pasta.
