Very clean and quiet property good location

staff were very friendly and helpful and were very quick to respond to my message regarding hotel pick up.The hotel was close to all the tourist locations as well as shopping area. I would definitely recommend it.

Hotel is tucks away on a side street off Democracy Monument.

Great location by democracy monument. Room was basic, but spacious with large comfortable bed. Bathroom was small but shower was good. Air conditioning well placed in the room. Staff were very friendly and happy to help, and breakfast served daily with fruit, toast and a choice of eggs and bacon. Absolutely no issues on my stay, and would definately recommend if visiting bangkok for nearby attractions like the grand palace.

This was my second time staying at the Sourire. I had a couple of days in Bangkok before returning to Canada and wanted to visit the Grand Palace and a few other historic sights all within walking distance. Khaosan Road is only a few minutes away as well. The Sourire is small, even cozy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was not opulent but more than enough for a short stay. I was too lazy to get up in time to take advantage of the free breakfast and my only wish would be for a kettle or coffee maker in the room. I arranged with the desk for a taxi to Suvarnibhum Airport for my early flight (600B) which got me there in good time. I’ll stay at the Sourire again.

we stayed in room 409, my advice to anyone who is staying or considering staying here is AVOID room 409 it was a dull and depressing room, low natural light, no outside view due to the window being coverd over, the couloir scheme of pink walls and ceiling dark woodwork was ugly and dirty scratched paintwork added to to dour flavour of the room, the bathroom area was so tiny thay i could barely get my leg between the wall and the front ent of the toilet bowl, and when using it i had to sit with my knees wide apart so as to fit in the space, the shower was a fixed head type, anyone over about 5’6” would need to stoop in order to wash thier shoulders and head, the hot water tap head came off twice due to the fixing screw missing and again the black and white tiling looked old and dated, the breakfast was dull and not very interesting at all, our room was only cleaned twice because we were in the room when they called, they never came back later, the staff were friendly though and the location of the hotel was good, but i would not recommend or use again

Hotel staff were all smiley and super friendly. Especially when the Grab driver was having a hard time finding the hotel, the owner came to the rescue and explained well to the driver and I was able to get on my bus on time!

The room was cleaned each day and was always left spotless. The bedding was sometimes a bit worn but was always clean. The staff were super friendly and always happy to help out.

This is the perfect hotel for a few days in Bangkok. It is clean, central and the staff are amazingly helpful and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. It consisted of fruit, toast, jam and your choice of eggs. The coffee was perfect. There is a wonderful little courtyard that is great for sitting around in. Very close to all of the major sites but also very quiet and peaceful.

Really cozy place with ambiance. Very sweet owners/managers. The breakfast was a bit late for us though, as we tend to get up at 6 am. Also there was no shower curtain and a few items that were advertised (such as a coffee maker) were not to be found. That was a little disappointing.

Sourrire is a nice place to stay. They need to invest just a small amount to improve the quality of their rooms, a shower head that doesnt spray everywhere would be nice.The location is ideal in the old city and far enough from Khao San that it us nice and quiet. The breakfast is basic as I expect most accommodation of this quality offers.

Bathroom was very small and couldn’t get the AC to work properly. Staff couldn’t do enough to help and it was well situated for most of the tourist attractions. Free breakfast was really nice and far better than I expected. Staff arranged good priced taxis to and from the airports for us.

Probaly one of the best located hotels in Bangkok. A whole lot of activites in walking distance. The hotel staff were very kind and helpful. Daily cleaning was really nice. Breakfast was really good but I would really have liked some more to drink other than coffee and tea. All in all a great hotel!

Great experience in the right area of bangkok if you want to stay for couple of night. 10 minutes from Grand Palace and easy to get from Aeroport,just take bus S1 and than walk for 5 minutes from Democracy Monument.i would stay here again next time I come here.

overall experience is positive but have 2 negative comments.We requested a packed breakfast cos we had to leave early for a trip, it wasnt accomodated My only negative experience is the hotel is "tucked away:" off the main street. Even with the written directions they gave us to hand to our taxi drivers, the taxi also have a difficult time finding it and needs our help. My suggestions is for them to put the name of their hotel on a sign, along the main road so people knows to turn into the smaller road to get into the hotel.

Nice hotel in the old town. Calm and clean -away from all the main tourist masses. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Definitve a place I recommend to stay.

Great location for anyone wanting a quiet hotel but within easy walking distance of Grand Palace and Khao San Road. Very clean, lovely friendly staff and a really peaceful spot minutes from everything we wanted to see during our stay.
