This was second honeymoon to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary returning to where we went on honeymoon. Our original guest house was no longer open. Cairn House did not disappoint, from the moment we arrived we felt at home. Our room was on ground floor so easy access, it was large and bright with views of the hills and the sea from the large bay window. We made use of the local bus which stopped just a few yards from the front door to get into town and back in the evening to get an evening meal. Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked with good choice and quality. There is also a bar area where you can get soft or alcoholic drinks during afternoon or evening. When we next return to Ilfracombe we will have no hesitation in booking here again.

We had a lovely stay, the bed wasn't the comfiest but overall a lovely place to stay. I loved the honesty bar, what a great idea.

The property and our room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The breakfast was super but most of all, the proprietors were faultless. Very pleasant, and couldn’t do enough for you. Thank you both for a lovely stay.

Lovely property and very clean, spacious and comfortable room. A great period property Breakfast was great. Location ideally suited, just out of the hussle and bustle of town but can easily walk into Ilfracombe in 10-15 mins. Would definitely stay again

Friendly hosts with clean and modern rooms. Ilfracombe Harbour is a 20mins walk, alternatively there is bus stop outside. Great Breakfast, catered for different needs, good position for start of different hiking routes.

We were very pleased with our family room. We checked in an hour early and check-in was very easy. We didn’t request a view but we could see the sea if we stood and looked out of the side bay. Our hostess was very welcoming but not intrusive - we saw her at check-in and then at breakfast. Our teen didn’t come down to breakfast so we were kindly made a Nutella sandwich (our choice) and a glass of juice to take up to the room. The choice at breakfast was great. We only stayed one night but we would recommend for a night or longer.

With a warm welcome and not put off by my many stupid questions, the couple who run this b&b were endlessly friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, the breakfast was brilliant. The highest praise I can give is that we would definitely stay there again.

Well located on a hill side, with nice views. Very comfortable and spacious accommodation. The owners are very efficient, professional, warm and caring, putiing the guests first. Excellent breakfast. Convenient location for the beach front (a few minutes drive or can walk or take the bus if preferred). Information leaflets were available about areas of interest.

Stay was very comfortable and area is interesting. Good walks if you are like walking and lots of amazing beaches nearby.

The owners were very friendly and helpful and we were made to feel very welcome. Breakfast was lovely the rooms were clean and it is on a bus route, which was very handy if you didn’t want to walk into the town.
