We loved staying at the voco, a beautiful building inside and out right in the heart of Melbourne. Easy to walk to surrounding shopping centres such as emporium and Melbourne central and had the lovely hardware lane to pick from numerous restaurants just across the street. Staff were so friendly and accommodating, made us feel very welcome. Our room was lovely, the view from the deep soak bathtub was gorgeous. If I had to be very picky and find something to whinge about. We found the mattress just a fraction hard- but we are used to a luxe mattress at home, and the pillows were a bit soft for our liking but that’s personal preference. The elevators were fast to use and had a great system for keeping flow happening throughout the day. We loved our breakfast at the blacksmith! Highly recommend during your staff! Unfortunately we didn’t make it there for dinner but we knew it would’ve been good as well.

Great hidden secret. Fantastic location - nice and close to everything. Staff were amazing - Jino was my first contact and was incredibly helpful. Loved the style of the hotel. The colour palette was just gorgeous. Really enjoyed the location and it might become my preferred choice for my city staycations. Would be recommending to others.

Ask for Sam at the reception desk. He made my stay very enjoyable. I will be back in February!

Sam at the reception desk went above and beyond to help me. They also offer free sparkling water so I was able to fill up my Yeti water bottle everyday. Very friendly staff.

Excellent stay except for poor quality breakfast brunch

The hotel location was conveniently located near to the trams and also to Melbourne Central station for easy access to trains. It was walking distance from many food options, malls etc. The rooms were very spacious, clean and quiet too. The staff were very helpful & friendly (Michael and team at Blacksmith Grill, Howard and team at Reception during check-in) and always made our mornings a lovely start to the day. We would gladly be back to stay here again!

Great Hotel for Melbourne CBD stays

Very happy with the room, was clean and comfortable. Restaurant had great food and excellent breakfasts. Staff were very attentive.

What an amazing motel!! From the moment we pulled up for valet parking, to the moment we left, we received 5 star service and especially appreciated the kind and unexpected gift for our anniversary. The motel is the epitome of class. High ceilings, beautiful decor, state of the art facilities. We treated ourself to the high floor room with seperate bath and oh my goodness was it way more than we expected! So spacious, clean & modern, but again, full of class and luxury finishes. The bath overlooking the city, with floor to ceiling windows was just next level amazing! Super comfortable bed, and a well soundproofed room that you wouldn’t know you were right in the CBD! We will definitely be coming back here again

Amazing location for the property. The staff and the facilities were awesome, although it would be nice to have the good old robe, slippers, shower cap etc in the room and not have to ask these amenities which kind of add to the luxury of a 4 star property. Everything else was fantastic!

Quite a new hotel, right in the heart of city. Opposite Melbourne Central. Tram in front of main street. Everything is splendid in the room. Customer Service is wonderful. Staff are friendly and helpful

Shower floor was not really cleaned and no bathrobes or toothbrushes

We really enjoyed our stay at voco, but for one very important factor… the in room climate controls use a motion sensor to keep the AC running; the issue here amounted to a horrible and broken nights sleep where I periodically had to get out of bed to reengage the AC; without this the room temp was uncomfortably warm.

Very nice and clean hotel. Great location. The beds were just OK, but then again, I am precious with my bed comfort. Probably the sheets could have been fitted tighter to give a better feel.
