Der Raum, der mir danach zugewiesen wurde. Im ersten Raum war die Live Musik noch Hintergrundrauschen und erträglich. Im Zweiten (Nr. 8) hatte man das Gefühl, mitten im Gastraum zu sitzen. Das Personal reagierte abweisend auf die Bitte, ggf. einen anderen ruhigeren Raum zuzuweisen. Erst hieß es, die Musik werde maximal um 21 Uhr enden. Als ich dann nachfragte, war es plötzlich 22 Uhr...eventuell. Nach mehreren Stunden erhielt ich ein Gratisgeschenk des Hotels - hämmernde Kopfschmerzen, dass man dachte, der Kopf würde platzen. Ich empfehle, die Beschreibung zu ändern in: "unbewohnbar bis Mitternacht" und den Zimmerpreis um die entsprechenden Stunden zu reduzieren. Ansonsten darauf vorbereitet sein, vom Personal herablassend behandelt zu werden, weil offenbar der Bierausschank Vorrang hat.

The check in was easy and the staff were helpful.

The rooms are right above the pub and it is really noisy. We stayed on a Friday night and we could hear people singing and smoking outside the pub until midnight.

awesome breakfast, friendly help full staff, only downfall was shared bathroom. was aware of this as was last min booking, would stay again.

bar wasn't open in the week until normal pub closing, more blankets as was cold in the nights with rubbish weather, did have electric heaters available though.

Central location, convenient and close to family. Breakfasts very good. Staff generally very attentive friendly and polite. Room itself was clean.

For the price during Easter Holidays I was not expecting the Ritz and it is of course an old building but the place is a bit rough and ready to say the least: landing, stairs and hallway carpets worn, toilet paper stuffed in keyholes / screwholes for privacy in shared bathrooms etc. Would be nice to have more housekeeping, for example plastic bottle of 'kettle water' to be replenished every day or two if no 'Do Not Disturb' sign up, towels replaced every four or five days if booking is for a week or more. Bear in mind rooms are above a busy local pub, so expect noise, fellow guests drunkenly clambering up the stairs and live music up to three nights a week - not a problem for me at all but no doubt some will fail to notice and promptly complain.
