Excellent all around helpful front desk staff

Newman is excellent for a stay near SMU campus especially - very convenient to Central Expressway in order to access downtown or North Dallas as well. Rooms are as expected but comfort of bed and pillows were way above expectations and I stay in a lot of hotels for work. The cafe area serves great food! The only critical thing I have to say is at the prices they charge there should be at least two free bottles of water in the room with access to other water for sale. At $5/bottle for a smaller bottle - that feels Like a lower level hotel play…otherwise it’s a great place to stay!

For some reason we were given a handicap room. That might have been my fault for not checking the booking. No hanging room and not enough outlets for electronics. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced. Very handy location. We will give it another try on our next visit.

Customer service at check in wasn't great. Clerk did not give full attention

It is a nice hotel. The free parking is a bit of a walk and one of the elevators was out. I was not offered the 20% discount on food or non alcoholic drinks upon check in. The staff is very nice and helpful.

I love the hotel and that it didn’t have carpet in the rooms. It was very clean but the parking was terrible. Over all everything else was very clean and loved my stay.

Overpriced, for what it is terrible bed. No hot water not worth what you pay.

Great place to stay for SMU football games

The bed is so horribly uncomfortable they are extremely hard so if that’s what you like more power to you but we will never stay here again our back pain is at a 10 right now it was just a really bad 3 nights of no sleep.

I have stayed here many times. It’s location is excellent for shopping, dining, and doing business in the area. My stay here has always been great.

My stay was good but the AC unit in my room was so loud. I attempted to reach the front desk, and no one answered.

Please be advice you must request room cleaning

Everywhere in the parking lot there are signs urging customers staying there to pay for parking within the first 15 minutes of parking; even in the hotel itself, there are the same signs, putting pressure on a person to get on this app and enter the car information along with a credit card. I had remembered that there was supposed to be free parking, but everything around me suggested I was misremembering. So I paid over $50 on an app--only to find when I was getting the room key that there was free parking for guests. Because the parking is done by another company, the hotel couldn't refund me either. It's so misleading and nothing can be done about it. Everything else about the hotel was fine, nice even. but the parking thing kind of made the rest of the stay less relaxing.

Another great stay. We are long-time clients. We had an IT challenge initially that was swiftly solved. Grateful for that.

Easy access off the highway, easy check-in, clean room, close to everything we needed. Great overall stay.

It was convenient in location. Able to walk to my conference. There was a restaurant/bar on site which was good since I did not see many restaurants nearby

The hotel was overall clean and nicely decorated which is appreciated. However, it is an older hotel and my room had that old house smell with low ceilings and low light. My frustration began 1st when the QR code given for room service would not work, then the chrome cast would not work to stream our data, then the app given to use your phone as a remote control did not work and lastly when trying again to use the room service QR code for breakfast it would not work. I also tried the room service by our room phone and it just rang and rang, so I then tried to call the restaurant and a busy signal, so I called the front desk and they transferred me and finally they answered and was able to put in an order. Lastly, my 20% off food as a VIP member was not taken off my bill and a the delivery and service fees for room service was outrageous and should be let known. So, needless to say the wanted night out with my daughters to get away, get some room service and watch our shows was a bust.

This hotel was very elegant clean and staff is really friendly. First time in Dallas and I would definitely stay again.

This is a nice property. I wasn’t sure at first because I’m new to the area but I was completely blown away. The food in the hotel is delicious, staff is super friendly, and the ambiance was amazing! I will refer this hotel to anyone!

The Beeman Hotel is very well located specially if you are a SMU parent or visitor. It’s at a walk distance. The staff is really nice and professional. I love how clean and refresh the room was.
