Great location and great service

Fine hotel with great staff but a bit run down in common areas

There is much to say about this place; its charming and nostalgic style makes the whole experience different and remarkable. We specially appreciated that through little things you felt at home; wether it was the hot tea and pastries available at the lounge when you got back, or the invitation Port Wine at your room receiving you after the day was over. We had a small dental accident and the staff was super helpful and helped us arrange an appointment with a local dentist. The room and bathroom were on point, even had several gadgets and adaptors for plugin in the phone or any other device. The location is convenient, not exactly walkable, but just a 5 mins cab from the good stuff! Would totally recommend it!

Great old Historic Property. Very charming

We had a great stay. The hotel is lovely and has great views over the river from the library and balcony. Very friendly and helpful reception desk and a lovely breakfast.

Classic style hotel with excellent service. Wonderful sitting areas including a lovely library with a balcony. Friendly staff and service oriented. Location is a little out of the main square in a somewhat more quiet, upscale neighborhood. Several nice restaurants walking distance from the hotel. Furniture is a bit tired and could use an upgrade.

Charming period hotel in good location. Splendid views from the library terrace. Pleasant and helpful staff. Good sized bedroom with comfortable bed. Large airy bathroom.

This was a very nice place to stay. It was clean and comfortable and utilised the Boutique atmosphere. There was a very cosy feel to it and the satff service was impeccable! Breakfst was great and the area was close to amenities and walkable to other areas. Bus service, if necessary, was just out front. Highly recoomended place to stay in Lisbon.

This is a charming Hotel. Staff are lovely and friendly. We enjoyed going to the library and chilling now after a long days walk. We recommend this hotel. Breakfast was lovely I’m plenty of choice. 😃👍

It was an older property

Beautiful facility, with excellent rooms, breakfast and staff. The view from the veranda is stunning.

Overall it was very pleasant heritage facility. We strongly recommend it to lovers of comfort & historical environment.

Loved this hotel! Beautiful room and tiled bathroom. Friendly check-in, and a nice breakfast with long hours, which was very convenient. The hotel is on a quiet street outside the main tourist zone, which I appreciated. Views of the water from the museum just down the street. Would definitely book this hotel again if I return to Lisbon!

Why „only“ 4 stars for the one thing? Because this is a heritage hotel, meaning not everything is being painted, repaired or renewed, as long as the function is given. And it is! It is a most lovely and beautiful accommodation, the breakfast menu is great (and you can enjoy it till noon), you can have free water, coffee and small snacks almost all day, our room is big enough, everything is clean, being filled up (and of course doing the beds and give you new towels, even if you don‘t need it), a most charming terrace with view on the 3rd floor and a just as charming inner courtyard in the back. Another thing; we had to change our booking afterwards (due to the unscheduled election one week ago), and expedia wanted quite a lot for changing it. I then contacted the hotel directly, and they changed it without charging anything. We are so grateful for that! Strongly recommended!!

Stunning property with friendly staff, great surrounding area, and the perfect Lisbon escape. I now recommend anyone coming to stay here as it’s the perfect location between old and new, with a range of lovely restaurants, cafes, and shops nearby. The rooms are beautifully done, and as a small hotel you get the quintessential feeling! A must visit.

Everyone was fantastic, this is a well run hotel with attention to detail. The people at the hotel are fantastic. The hotel is in a great place. Breakfasts were great and the upstairs library is a fantastic place to relax with coffee or wine.

If you’re in search of a well appointed traditional boutique hotel, this is exactly what you want. I absolutely loved this hotel from the friendly staff (Maria) to the quaint decor. This hotel is amazing!!!

Quiet little heritage hotel, enjoyed our stay there. Staff accommodated all our requests which made the stay very comfortable.

This is a lovely hotel and I can't wait to go back. Staff are fantastic. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet and all the space that we needed. Breakfast was delicious. The rooftop terrace was a fantastic spot to finish the day. The breakfast terrace was beautiful, but it was a little too chilly to enjoy in February. The location is a bit of a hike to the main action of Lisbon, but we liked that and walked everywhere. Busses are convenient if that is the option you prefer. I am looking forward to staying here again.

This is a charming hotel with beautiful rooms and amazingly attentive staff.

The hotel is a lovely historic building and the staff are fabulous. They need to rethink their dining arrangements to make it work better. This is more than compensated for by the quality of their offering. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

This is not a hotel ! We left the “hotel” before we check in! Everything is old and dirty smell bad… very disappointed ! We have to move to an other hotel at Sofitel
