The staff for the check-in and the parking was very friendly. We received great service, and the room and bed were very confortable. It was a great stay and I would stay here again.

The hotel itself is lovely and the bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed a nightcap on the patio. Unfortunately our room faced a really noisy bar that kept us up until 2am. Checking out no one asked us how our stay was so we didn’t have an opportunity to discuss with the staff.

The staff was absolutely amazing from the check in guy we had, to guy who brought us the Prosecco for my friends birthday to the amazing concierge which was awesome. Those 3 made the entire experience worthwhile and just for the service they gave would return over and over. The hotel itself needs work. The lobby is absolutely spectacular but the rest of the hotel doesn’t match this. Our room was big and spacious but very dated and even had some sort of repair in bathroom with tape. The hallway on the 3rd floor looks like something from the horror film The Shinning. It’s almost like lobby is one hotel and hallways leading to the rooms are another hotel. If this hotel was fully renovated I think it could be top hotel in Halifax and even beat the Muir where we stayed our first night. If renovations are done please advise and I will come back and see it.

Awesome. Usually stay here when in town. The cleaning staff were amazing. Four adults in town for a wedding requires lots of towels, cleaning with the four of us coming and going with late wake-ups. They went over and above to help our schedule.

The doorman was very helpful and welcoming and we appreciated having valet parking although it would have been easy enough to do self parking. The breakfast buffet was good value and everything was quite tasty. Service was very attentive and professional. We enjoyed having drinks on the patio at night with the fireplace table lit up.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable.

The only reason I didn't give this review an Excellent is because we were offered an upgrade for $100 at check in. This included a better view and daily buffet breakfast. When I checked out, I got a bill for $478. The upgrade was $100 per day plus some fees and I was not expecting that. I am very upset about that. The people were great - the food was great at the bar - the buffet was not really very good - very slim pickings and the eggs were less than desirable. The only good thing on the breakfast buffet was the pancakes, which we apparently paid $100 a day for. That left a bitter taste for sure!

Parking garage was tight. However it did have parking!!!

We loved our stay , the convenience of being right next door to our venue at Scotiabank center was too handy. The food was excellent at the in house restaurants. The room was luxurious and comfy. The amenities,we did not have time to check out,but look amazing. We will be back , for simple convenience of having everything at an arm's length . The staff here seemed.to go above and beyond ,always interacting and making sure we had everything we needed. The only hiccup in our whole adventure,was coffee (other than in room) was not available to anyone before 6:30 am. Being a person that rises at 5 , I had a bit of a wait . Unfortunately the person at the front desk could not offer any close by alternatives. As I stated , we will be back , wonderful place to stay !

It was close to everything that Halifax has to offer. A bit expensive

Classic older property with modern upgrades. Rooms were nice, but not special. Area is great and very walkable with many dining and shopping options nearby.

Very convenient location, very cleaned and delicious breakfast

Although the hotel is older especially the bathrooms the staff is wonderful and make up for it Our only issue was that we had a pickup truck ( all that was left at rentals) and we were told it wouldn’t fit it the garage so we had to walk over to another parking garage at Sutton to park the vehicle It was 58cd per night which seemed high especially due to the inconvenience

A lovely hotel in the heart of town. Walkable and near everything. Bedrooms are cozy and luxurious. O would stay there again.

Excellent staff and service, nice vibe. I loved the location. The pillows were very thick, great for sitting up in bed but not for sleeping. I notice this b/c I’m prone to migraine, and had to use the duvet cover as a pillow. Also, request a non-adjoining room, if you don’t need one as the walls were thin in my room (which was in the middle of two adjoining rooms.) other than that it was great and would recommend it if you’re not expecting 5 star amenities! 😊

The room was nice. Unfortunately, when we were there, the main elevator was down and they accommodated us with the service elevator, which was OK. Parking around this hotel is not obvious so for ease, we just opted to vallet. It is very close to all of downtown Halifax, restaurants and bars.

Great friendly staff. Pool and hot tub. Comfy bathrobes. Tasty breakfast.

We stayed at this property two times over one week. The first night the elevator was broken and we were taken by staff up to our room in the service elevator. We did need to use stairs for the rest of the stay. Upon our return the elevator was in service and we were given complimentary drinks as a thank you for our patience. We had drinks and a fabulous dinner. All in all, we were treated well and had a great time.

Old hotel but very comfortable and clean. Nice toiletries lots of towels. Stayed in a suite that had 2 washrooms which is fantastic when travelling with kids. Walk everywhere from location

Stay for one night cost 392 and not even a complimentary breakfast included especially since they were having elevators Had to use the service elevator through the kitchen or use tge stairs to go to the 4th floor Last time I will book with this hotel
