Hotel has a good shuttle service, is clean and has a lounge and a Denny's restaurant. We have stayed there before and will again on our next trips. Unfortunately they no longer offer the VIP $20.00 food credit??

The third morning we didn’t have hot water.

Room was only ready at 4.30pm… Room was cold because cleaning must have left open the window to fight a bad smell in room. Reception was understaffed - 0 to 1 persons at reception/check-out on a Sunday morning… Slide in swimming-pool permanently closed… Door handle fell off when entering room and phone in room didn’t work…

Hotel was nice, staff was friendly and helpful, my room was upgraded which was nice but it was missing little odds and ends (a curtain was missing and little stuff like the soap boxes were empty) I only had a one night stay so I wasn't very concerned but knowing with past stays at this hotel they would've made it right if requested
Only real recommendation to get hotel to a 5 star review is the little things (like add the curtain back, the bedroom tv gets slightly obstructed by the curtains, make sure that the bathrooms are stocked fully)
But overall this is a great hotel and was and still is my go to place to stay in mississauga and I would recommend it to others

Great location and and was upgraded for free to a larger room which was nice. The morning of the checkout was disturbing: I went down to Denny's at 8:30 a.m. for breakfast to use my $15 voucher (which doesn't cover any breakfast BTW). When I got back to my room at about 9:10 a.m. the room attendant had been there and was halfway through preparing the room for the next guest. What the heck?! I didn't check out yet! This was such an intrusion of privacy and totally uncalled for two hours before the 11 a.m. checkout time. I quickly got of there as obviously it did not feel safe anymore to stay the rest of the morning. Be aware and do not leave valuables in your room!

Overall I very much enjoyed my stay at The Sandman. I only stayed one night but the airport shuttle, front desk, and housekeeping staff were all very friendly a d welcoming. The bed was comfortable, my room was spacious, and the kitchenette was stocked with all the dishes pots, pans, and cooking utensils you could need. My only complaint is that in the morning, there were ants in my dogs food bowl that had been left on the floor overnight. I don’t feel that leaving a dog bowl on the floor is uncommon or excessively dirty so it's somewhat concerning to have ants on the 16th floor of the hotel. I washed out the bowl and cleaned up the ants and didn't see any others anywhere after. Overall I would recommend staying at The Sandman

There’s basic lighting but we did not have TV, internet and air conditioning.
Plus the elevator was not working. We had to carry the suitcase from 5th floor.

Airport pickup drove past us twice, when we called the front desk for help they were rude and gave me a different time expectation than my husband when he called back. The room carpet had a huge ripple in it that is hazardous, the shower floor was uneven and even had a crack in it that no doubt could hurt your foot.
We could have chosen a much better options just as close to the airport. Regret.

Staffs were nice. Hôtel needs some upgrades. Specially the bathrooms. During our stay there was smell of Marijuana in the corridor, too noisy. Pool slide was not open. Jacuzzi wasn’t maintained properly. Looks great in Pictures.

We were picked up at the airport after a 13 hr flight and once we were checked in, we walked into a beautiful inviting suite. The beds were super comfy, just like home. Everything in this hotel made us want to come back again in future travels.

Check in was super easy as well as the staff was very friendly. There was a bar on the main floor of the hotel as well as access to Denny’s. Ice machine was located on the 3rd floor, not sure if there is another location. Overall, the stay was great, the room was clean, the water pressure is out of this world!

Booked a jacuzzi suite. Went to use jacuzzi - jets would not come on. Called front desk and they sent up a maintenance guy. He was able to get it running. However when the jets kicked on a bunch of black sludge started coming out of jets. Maintenance guy just said “you should clean that before using it” and left. (No one came to clean it) Tried rinsing the tub and all the sludge down the drain but it just kept coming out the jets. Clearly these units are not cleaned or cared for. It was disgusting.
Mentioned the issue at checkout next day and the service rep was very apologetic. She offered to comp the room. But when she looked up the booking and saw it was through Expedia she said she would have to refund Expedia and they would be in touch with me (within a week).
Waited a week and heard nothing so I contacted Expedia. They looked into the issue and came back denying any refund.
Not sure if the communication was lost between hotel and Expedia - or if it was never sent.
Regardless at the end of day neither the hotel or Expedia stepped up. Could have had a refund on the spot if I just booked direct. Not sure why I should bother going through Expedia in future.

On the first night of our 2 night stay I fell down 2 steps in the lobby, causing significant bruising in my knee. Two Sandman employees rushed to my aid and helped me up. The next day I took some pictures that showed that the handrail for these steps was hidden behind a sign.
As well, on the first morning of our stay, my friend fell in the bathroom and I had to call the front desk for assistance. They quickly sent up help and got him to his feet. They were excellent.
When I checked out on Saturday morning I attempted to bring the sign blocking the handrail to the attention of the hotel. I was the only one checking out at the time. They had a record of my friends fall but not mine. I felt bad for the desk clerk as she had to communicate with her supervisor in an office beside the check-in area. This supervisor did not come out of the office to interact with me or view the pictures of the sign. The supervisor instructed the desk clerk to comp our stay. I didn't turn that down but it most certainly did not solve the issue.
Do they have a safety committee to investigate incidents like this? I would like to hear from Sandman to see if this has been resolved.

Pretty good stay overall there was a couple bugs in the bath but easy enough to take care of i would recomend to family and friends to stay here for sure
