Not in the greatest neighborhood, our room had no shower. No ironing board or iron. Biggest issue was no A/C. We had a fan going in our room, and woke up due to being hot. We stayed in July. Breakfast included microwavable oatmeal packets and nutrigrain bars. Will not be back

The private bathroom was a shared bathroom for the floor. The room needed a good cleaning. One of the outlets in the room was so loose I was afraid to use it. The continental breakfast was a choice between hot pockets, some other frozen breakfast foods, or cold cereal with no milk.

Room was great, but could use a little refurbishing, service was excellent as was the breakfast. The area was a bit sketchy. I wasnt sure where the Central West End restaraunt district was from the hotel, but I know I wouldnt want to walk there. Also, the WiFi and cable were terrible, but it might have been the weather.

Interesting bed and breakfast (not a hotel). I arrived around 9pm , nobody was there to check me in so I had to call a number and be let in. Nobody was on premise. My room was still dirty (coffee still in coffee machine with grounds). The reservation says private bathroom but there is no private bathroom - it’s shared for the floor. The location wasn’t what I expected either. I couldn’t stay the night and had to find a different accommodation.

This place was amazing. Seemed like a safe area and the diamonds and pearls room was awesome. Definitely would stay here again if we are in St. Louis!

Very nice room. Stayed in the Kenya room. could use a bit of tlc but otherwise very nice.

The house would be beautiful if it weren’t so dilapidated. Two of the three mornings there was no coffee or hot water for tea. We were locked out the second night. We were told the door was always left open, which obviously wasn’t true and there wasn’t an answer for a code when we called. Had we not guessed the code, we would have been locked out all night. There was no one around to check us out. Another guest was also looking for the caretaker. There was no door on our bathroom, which was disconcerting. There was no hair dryer, DVD player, and the tv consisted of a makeshift antenna half ways screwed into the wall that barely played the local channels. The wiring was messed up and needed replaced. An example, you had to turn a light on to get “juice”to the outlet. It is called Central West End which would mislead one into think in it was a good area. But, a local told us, “they lied.” It was a complete waste of money. I would have been happier at a hotel. Definitely the worst bed and breakfast (if you really want t call it such) that we have ever stayed in, and we have stayed in a lot.

Things started off perfectly fine. The building was easy to find, located in an ok area, free parking lot behind the building. I was greeted by friendly staff, given a short tour of the upstairs area where my room was located. The bed was decently comfortable but the TV and remotes were a little hard to figure out how to operate at first. At the time my only real issue was the lack of useable power outlets. The next day was a different story. During the initial tour I was shown where my bathroom was (a few feet away, not connected to the room) and explicitly told that I wouldn't be sharing it with anyone. That morning when I woke up and was getting ready for the day there was a woman I didn't know exiting the room (but taking her sweet time and giving me the stink eye). She was in there one other time that morning while I finishing getting ready/packing up to check out. It would have been one thing if I was told I'd have to share a bathroom for someone. I wouldn't have been so put off by some random woman in there. I also wouldn't have left my belongings in there. I went to check out and there was no one around. I left the room key on what I think was the office counter, crossed my fingers they knew who they belonged to and that I was checking out on time. Not far behind me was the lady from the bathroom, continuing to give me the stink eye as we both loaded our bags into our cars. I can't even fully express how turned off I was with that whole bathroom situation.

Very clean and great accommodations. Got in late and just slept so can't speak to wifi or any amenities. There was fresh fruit and chips available for free outside my room.

We stayed in the Asian room on the top floor and the first thing we immediately noticed was that it appeared the room had not been dusted in quite some time. There was a layer of dust on all the tables and flat surfaces in our room. The next thing which stood out was a mess inside the room's mini fridge. It looked like a soda had frozen and exploded inside the fridge and was left like that with no one to clean it up. Finally, we were disappointed in the breakfast made available for guests. We expected to have a breakfast at least on par with your typical continental breakfast you would find at any generic hotel chain but instead the only options available were a small tray of store bought mini muffins, whole fruit, or frozen breakfast bowls you would find in the supermarket. I don't think it's asking too much to have a hot meal prepared when you specifically stay at a bed and breakfast. We will not book this location again unfortunately.

Always enjoy myself when I ho here & the rooms & food are anazing

Low quality and terrible service. I booked this B&B online. When I arrived for my reservation, I knocked and there was no answer. After waiting outside for 30 minutes, someone who had been there all along let me in (she may have been working on my room, which was not prepared ahead of time). I was let in through a service entrance and led through the back, which was very cluttered and dirty. I was feeling very uncomfortable at this point with the service and area of town. I was then told to wait inside the building for up to an hour until someone else who had the key to my room arrived. I asked for a refund because of the unpreparedness and poor service, but was refused. Even though I chose NOT to stay at this location and to get a room at a nearby hotel for the night, I was charged as if I had stayed there. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

First stay in a B&B, loved it! Staff very friendly and helpful, everything was clean, warm, and inviting! I'll be going back just to try out another theme, great stay!

It's a totally unique and thoroughly delightful establishment, created by an impressive couple and having an interesting history. It's a charming and elegant building, richly furnished and creatively decorated. The room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was served in an extravagantly elegant dining room in the manner expected by the gentry. I can only dream about the experience enjoyed by those who choose the $600 a night room - complete with candlelight dinner, chauffer services, massage, pedicure and manicure. Henrietta and Nathan really know how to make a stay special.

Absolutely wonderful! Room was beautifully decorated (as was the entire building), food was great, and we felt right at home the whole time.

Henrietta was awesome. She was so friendly and helpful. Her B&B is so beautiful. We recommend it to any couple who want a place to stay in St Louis.

My wife and I stayed one night last week and were pleasantly surprised to say the least. Amazing room - very clean and full of eclectic and creative decor. Will definitely be back if we are ever in the area in the future. Breakfast was great and super friendly host(s)... Thank you!

With off-street parking, easy access and a ground floor room this turned out to be a very comfortable BnB. The walk-in shower and toilet with heaps of towels and toiletries attached to the room only added to the comfort. A great bed, aircon and fan, and a refrigerator set the scene for a very comfortable stay. All set off by a good breakfast and a very welcoming hostess.

Loved the room and bathroom, everything wasn't as clean as it could of been, also the central air wasn't very strong, so it was hot there was a fan but it wasn't quite enough. Jacuzzi was nice I liked the tv in bathroom, but only local channels in bathroom. We had fun, was expecting a full breakfast like the ad said but learned there was an extra cost associated with a warm breakfast. They did supply orange juice, water, and granola bars and bananas. No microwave or ice machine. But there is a mini fridge. all in all it was a nice stay. Just mostly needed updates.

The theme of the room is unique. But is not very clean, and old carpet floor make a lot of noice. Air conditioning is good and make room feel very warm, but windows are blocked by tables and can't be open.

It was a great place to stay for the privacy. We enjoyed our stay!!!

We enjoyed our stay in this historic house. The breakfast was good, though not elaborate or fancy. The owner and the staff were both friendly.

My bed was so comfortable and received a warm greeting when I arrived. This was my first stay at a bed and breakfast and would definitely do it again. Breakfast was delicious!
