very friendly people who run the guest house. The room was comfortable, spacious and clean. Parking was available nearby and there was a local bus route into town.

The little extras that were included without charge such as a great coffee machine, cooking facilities and a washer and dryer. Also, the family who run the guest house are friendly and helpful. The garden which was a lovely place to sit in the morning and evening.

Wonderful stay in the west end of Leicester! I have stayed in countless properties in this price-range, and type of accommodation, throughout England and this stay was top notch! Very clean facilities and room. My room was very modern and had all that I needed and very quiet throughout the day and night. Very comfortable bed that helped me sleep after very stressful days. In there kitchen there is an awesome coffee machine that makes a verity of coffees all made by freshly ground beans. Such a nice touch! Also had a fridge in the room which was so nice. I cannot say enough about the owners of this property. What some fine, thoughtful, and helpful people! It is such a rarity in this world anymore to find such people anywhere let alone in the housing/hotel business. It made my stay more than wonderful! If I ever come to Leicester for any reason in the future, I will be staying here and nowhere else. It is just that kind of a place that one like myself loves. Oh, and the back garden was very nice to relax in.

Everything was wonderful. I cannot even think of a suggestion as the owner is top notch in his field. As we say, he "aced" it.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming . very accommodating. The place was very organised and neat. A very friendly atmosphere and a family friendly place to stay. I would recommend family and friends.

As the bathroom facilities are shared , I would recommend air fresheners to be placed in the bathroom and toilet area. Also extra bin bags could be left under the bins so guest can change their bins when its full, saves asking for bin bags. Also for guest staying for 3days or more to be offered extra bed linen to change their beddings.

Location , comfort , cleanliness and access to flat screen tv at an affordable price made this an exceptionable bargain.

The facilities, staff, comfort and location are truly value for money by UK standards. This is my go to lodging in Leicester.

No actual weaknesses! A comfortable and safe Guest House within walking distance of the city center.

The room was quite large, and the beds were rather comfortable. We booked a room for two adults and got a double and a single beds in the room. A small fridge in the room was a good addition. The host are a nice couple, and they tried to make our stay comfortable. I found enough of kitchen utensils to cook a dinner and a breakfast. Free to use coffee machine in the kitchen was nice. The hosts offered to use their washing and drying machines, and I saw that some of guests did do.

Basically, you get what you pay for. This is not a hotel. This is a residential house, where hosts occupy one of the rooms, and the rest is available to rent. Toilet/bathroom is shared and is just one on the floor - not too convenient when you need it in the night. While I found everything needed in the kitchen, the pans etc are quite old and used - some guests can be unhappy. A closet or wardrobe in the room would be nice to have, as we had only a few hooks on the wall. Nobody cleaned the room (we stayed for a week) - not that we needed it though.

I like the fact that the hotel is not to far away from town.

The bin in my room was full of rubbish from whoever and whenever it was last in use. The room needs hovering, I am an asthmatic so I can pick up on these straight away. There was no blinds covering the window, so you have sun beaming through at early morning. That fridge will keep you up all night, and the walls very thin, you can other people very clearly.

The staff were friendly.. the room was decent size.. location wasn't to bad. Maybe a 25 minutes walk to the train station.

Gilles and his Mum were lovely and friendly. I had a lovely large room at the front which was nice and sunny. Very clean, small fridge in the room, small table and chairs,TV and a kettle. The big bonus was downstairs in the kitchen is a huge coffee machine which makes a delicious coffee. Easy to get into the city centre by bus no 50,51 or 104. I highly recommend St Lucia's I would stay here again for sure.

Affordable with a friendly host in a great location.

I enjoyed my stay-TV was good. Bathroom was clean. The house belongs to a family, they live in the house and made me feel at home.

The coffee machine was working,it was ok- the manager was hoping for improvement.

Good location within walking distance of the City Centre or bus 50/51 every 15 minutes. The property is a private house where the owner and family live and rent out the other rooms. My room had a double bed, TV, kettle, Wi-Fi and central heating overlooking the back garden. The bed was comfortable and I slept well for the 8 nights I stayed. The shared bathroom and toilet was down the hallway. The owner was from France and very accommodating and he even said I could use his washing machine for laundry. All in all I was left to my own devices and I could come and go when I pleased which is how I like it. For the price I paid it was excellent value for money. The area was close to Narborough Road where there were many shops, minimarts, takeaways and restaurants.
