The place is nice however the rooms are really small in comparison to the pictures on the website. The bathroom and shower space is so small.

No hot water in shower for all 7 days i stayed here. Load music from the night club across the street EVERY night.

Every night was loud party music until 4am … it was hard to get sleep

Stayed in their penthouse, the room was great. I booked a room with a balcony but was given 88, the one facing the mall. I was informed that the one I booked had pipe issues. Loved the decor and layout but boy did the mosquitoes eat me up!!!!!
As if that wasn’t enough, I wasn’t able to sleep a wink due to the loud music coming from a nearby club. It sounded like the music was being played downstairs.
I can’t say if I’d like to stay at this hotel again.

The twin room I had as a solo resident was very pokey - no space. No table in the room to work on my laptop. I asked for a table but was told I couldn't get one. They said they would change me to a room with a table. Asked me to wait in the lobby, which I did for over an hour, but nobody sorted it out. Needs more shelving on the walls. Far too pretentious. Too much emphasis on the cargo theme of the hotel and not on what customers actually need. The plastic cactus stuck to the small shelf took priority over my laptop space. Lusaka was very cold at the time, but there was no heating in the main reception / atrium area.

Beautifully designed and appointed hotel, the building was a pleasure to be in. Super comfortable beds and well laid out rooms. Staff were welcoming and very helpful.

It was pleasant, although there was no hot water in the one shower and it wasn’t very clean. TV’s also don’t work independently from each other. Other than that, good value!

This property is poorly built. Rooms are make-shift, lack any amenities, and have large openings which means that sound pollution is a huge problem, with music from nearby nightclub very loud in all rooms till early morning.
Worse, it is unclean, and is infested with cockroaches.

This is new property and very well designed. The standard rooms are a bit small. The next step up is good. Hoping they can keep up the maintenance.

Beautiful hotel with interesting art, amazing service, comfortable rooms, a nice restaurant, and some seriously cold air conditioning. It is adjacent to shopping mall, where there are bank machines. Taxi to the airport is about 190K.

Excellent property with a very unique design concept. Excellent innovation at full display. Just loved how the reception area eases into the Bar and dinning area.
The one thing that I didn't like for the Room with the Balcony was noises from the metal roof from even slight rain drops.

Cargo88 is a brand new hotel located steps from East Park Mall. It felt very similar to the 3 and 4 star hotels I often stay in when traveling for work in the U.S.
Staff were very friendly, my room was comfortable, and there were lots of good dining and retail options within walking distance. There’s nothing about it that feels particularly Zambian, so if you’re looking for local color it’s best to stay elsewhere, but it’s a great base of operations for a longer trip.
