Check in process was great! The front desk was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, I’m rating poor because the room did not look like the pictures or the rest of the property. We had the room at the very back, along the street and the room was dirty, smelled and outdated. I did not want to touch anything in that room!!!

I appreciate the airport shuttle and breakfast was delicious we are staying there night before we leave.

Perfect for a night before an early flight. Staff helped us with the rental car return and then to the airport early and seamlessly. Thank you.

My wife and I stayed here between travel days into and out of San Jose. There are restaurants in walking distance (we LOVED Lita) as well as the attached restaurant, both of which are very good. There is also a grocery store across the street. We wish we could have stayed longer to explore more of the city and enjoy the food and pool here. The room we had was very nice, but not very soundproof, which was the only small negative in our stay. Finally, the staff was very friendly and helpful; they all spoke English and were patient with our weak Spanish. We would love to come back!

Excellent but expensive restaurant attached. Nice grocery across the street. Rental car and airport shuttles were fabulous! Pool was green and not open. Room was musty with old carpet. Beds not comfortable.

The hotel was clean, the restaurant food was great and the staff were very friendly. They even have 2 resident cats that hang around the property, and they were very sweet. We used the shuttle service to get to the airport, and it only took around 30 min with traffic. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

This is a dingy motel type accommodation. Our room was tiny with bugs in the curtains and people walking & talking right out our window which was right beside the bed. They moved us to a bigger cleaner room which was good but it too was extremely noisy and so very out dated. It definitely needs a Reno.
For the same price we could have found a much better nights stay.

Stayed here one night befire our departure. This was close to the airport. Property was beautiful.
The room was a bit small and no mini fridge (suited our needs for one night but would not have stayed for longer). No extra charge shuttle service running all day and night. They were able to bring is to the airport at 4am which was great.

We loved this hotel! We started and ended our trip to Costa Rica at La Riviera Hotel. It's a little further than the typical airport chain hotels, but the shuttle service is excellent. The entrance way to check-in is amazing with the hanging orchids! The restaurant is very good and the breakfast that came with our rooms was delicious. Our trip "vote" for Best Coffee was definitely here.

When I complained to the manager he said we only have one of those rooms but had booked it multiple times for the same date. I asked for a discount but he refused. He pretty much did not care and told me you cannot do anything about it. I would not recommend this hotel at all. Everybody else except the manager was nice and accomodating.
