Everything was exceptional, wonderful, and all around perfect. We got married during our stay, and the property made the most beautiful and wonderful stay for our special weekend. The cottage was lovely and the breakfasts were such a special highlight of every single stay.

The Simpson House Inn is a wonderfully maintained oasis near downtown Santa Barbara.
This is not a Five Star HOTEL but a superb B&B the likes of which we have previously enjoyed living in new and old England.
The staff are excellent ... David has a wonderfully dry wit.
Evening Happy Hour in the salon is generous.
Plumstead Cottage is charming with a quirky plan (do note that the bed and bath are on the second floor).
In all a fabulous base for Santa Barbara and beyond.

Had a great stay at The Simpson Inn and can't wait to return. Was greeted on our arrival and given a tour of the entire property ending up at our lodging, the Tack Room. Outstanding space on the downstairs portion of the building with our own porch.
Happy Hour with Hors d'oeuvres was very nice with a good selection of local wines and very tasty food. Breakfast was also great and David took excellent care of us for both mornings. Small complaint regarding that is it doesn't start until 8:30am. For those who like to rise earlier than that could be problem if you had a busy day planned
ahead of you.
Overall fantastic accommodations and very relaxing.

This place is first class. I brought my family because we were in Santa Barbara for my daughter’s wedding at the courthouse. We may had an amazing time one of the best days of my life seen my daughter so happy. They stayed at the Ritz, but came to Simpson because my kids were having so much fun. it truly was a special memory They loved the happy hour and the property. I got lots of kudos for picking this place.

This was the perfect getaway from a hot humid South. Perfect weather the whole time in the low 70’s. The Simpson House is a beautiful place. The grounds are immaculate, the breakfast and afternoon wine tasting was very thoughtful and elegant. The room was so comfortable and beautiful. Every person I came in contact with was warm and friendly. I highly recommend this property.

Beautiful grounds, attentive staff, delicious food. Really enjoyed the stay. The room was a bit stuffy - had a bit of a dusty / old smell to it unfortunately but otherwise it was great.
