The staff appeared happy, were very friendly and thoughtful. They made you feel at home and assisted with any needs. I absolutely loved the decor and beautiful character of the rooms and foyer. Everything was of high quality and one of the best buffet breakfasts I’ve had with a range of Asian western and healthy food choices

The staff were lovely, especially Clara, the young lady who checked us in. Super sweet and helpful. The hotel is in walkable distance to the ancient town and the room is relatively spacious for two.

Absolutely loved it! Sam and Brownie were amazing and so sweet. Its in a good location, adorable clean rooms and the breakfast buffet was out of this world.

I spent many days searching for that 'little gem' hotel for our stay in Hoi An and I was certainly delighted with my choice. La Residencia is delightful in every way. The staff are charming, polite and cannot do enough for you. The hotel is spotlessly clean with character and charm. The rooms are large, well appointed & beds very comfortable indeed (a big bonus point for that!) Breakfast is plentiful with an excellent choice and again the staff very attentive. Location is good and an easy stroll into the main part of town and river. Also a very good tailor opposite. I purposefully wanted a smaller hotel rather than the usual grand dames I frequent in Ho Chi Minh City. I'm also in the travel industry which makes me doubly critical of every detail from cleanliness to customer service, food and a good comfy bed. Well done La Residencia, you're a perfect little gem of a hotel and we all enjoyed our stay immensely.

Since There aren’t too many reviews about this hotel in hotels.com website, I checked tripadvisor reviews. There are somany reviews that oddly talking about specific person’s names. For example, I liked Kevin’s room service was excellen! .. Really?? I thought it was really weired and I know how thaf happen after I visited this hotel. When I was having breakfast, someone came to me and pour some water. And I said thank you and she told me her name and asked me to leave a review about her. Same thing happens at the spa as well. It was really tired. Overall the hotel isnt too bad but it is really tiring.

We spent an enjoyable 4 nights at the hotel. The room was pleasant and a good size, with a nice outlook. The service was fantastic, and the staff did their most to be helpful.

We kept the room temperature at 18C (70F), and we were quickly refreshed after time outside in the old part of Hoi An. Room was spacious and clean. Modern bathroom. Small refrigerator for cooling down our water bottles. Superb breakfast was included in room rate, including a broad assortment of Western and Asian foods, plus very good Vietnamese “white coffee”. Very friendly staff. They noticed from passport inspection that my son had a birthday during our stay, and surprised us at breakfast with a large birthday cake for him (plus a bouquet of roses). When we checked out at 6am on our last day, they surprised us again with a couple tart, bagged breakfast. Overall, one of the very best hotel experiences we have experienced in world travel.

We had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The personnel even helped us with some problems regarding our flight tickets. The room was large, in good order and clean. Will strongly recommend.

We stayed there for one night and got a free upgraded room, that’s very good! The room is well furnished, clean and cozy! I love the balcony! It’s very relaxing to sit there. The location of the hotel is great, as it is close to the old town The reception staff, Sam, was very nice and cheerful! She proactively introduced us the hotel facilities and recommended us places to go in Hoi An. The breakfast there is also great, I love the omelette and noodle soup! I hope can spend a few more days there so that I can enjoy the spa and join the cooking class. The prices seem reasonable. Highly recommend this hotel!

We stayed here 4 years ago and enjoyed our stay at the La Residencia so much we decided to return for a week in Hoi An. A lot has happened in the last 4 years, Hoi An itself has become extremely busy, mainly with Chinese tourists and the area this hotel is in, unfortunately, has become a giant coach car park in the daytime, when the tours come in from Da Nang added to this a new hotel has been built completely surrounding the hotel, which has now lost its river view, the rooms they describe as lantern view are rooms that have a balcony but have the wall of the newly built hotel covered in a sort of fence with lanterns hanging on it about 6 feet from your balcony, see photo, making the rooms dark and claustrophobic, we stayed only one night in one of these rooms and asked to be moved to a room at the front, the lantern view rooms are only any good for one or two nights, it really is a shame as the staff are wonderful and the rooms are nice and comfortable and the ambiance of the hotel is good. The only other thing is there are no decent restaurants in the surrounding area, these have all gone since our last visit and now become Spas and massage places, it's such a shame as Hoi An itself is still a lovely place to visit.
