Small room somewhat clean

We mistakenly missed to add 1 day to our stay and had to book separately. Once booked they advised us the only room available was a smoking room. We were not happy as we aren’t smokers but agreed instead of staying in the streets for the night. I had never stayed in smoking rooms and this review may be biased but the room and the whole floor at best reeked of smoke (this I understand, it’s a smoking room!) however once inside the condition of the room was so filthy. There were dust everywhere, brown/amber (maybe tar?) all over the window seal and walls. The wall paper falling apart. We paid $172 USD for this night and it was below motel quality. Im surprised that for the cost of a room between $130-$172 per night that there is mold in the rooms. To be fair they do give you an air purifier/humidifier but I’m not sure it takes away from the actual mold growing on the walls. The bathrooms are made of fiberglass and have chipping in most areas such as the tub and sink. We took photos and asked the concierge if it was normal? He offered a different room but the other two rooms offered were in worst condition with even random hairs on the bed and bathroom walls. They do try to be eco friendly and will clean after your stay but I’m not sure what type of cleaning is done. Definitely not deep cleaning and those smoking rooms may need it more than any other. Pros: walking distance to the Osaka station.

So the rooms are seriously small (we got the standard twin beds (2) room which is apparently the second largest), even for my experience staying in Japanese hotels. It’s hard if you have a lot of luggage, etc., because there’s nowhere in the room to fit it. But the staff was very kind so that made up for it and we had a fantastic stay overall- the laundry machines were easy to use and the restaurant downstairs was amazing. Additionally, it is very close to the subway station which is always a plus!

We enjoyed our stay here. It comes with a daily breakfast which is very convenient. Staff are very friendly. Within the walking distance of the Shin-Osaka Station and Nishinakajima-Minamigata Station which brings you to Dotonbori and Donbori and Kuromon Market. Will definitely stay again next time I'm in Shin Osaka

I wish the smoking smell was not there. They should stop making smoking rooms and just have a special room for just smoking. Breakfast option was good and room was small and serve its purpose.

My friend and I stayed in a "Standard Twin Room" for two nights. The staff was great, I was checking in with my low level Japanese but it turned out the man there spoke excellent English. The room was quite small and the bathroom also, it was barely enough for both of us. It's good for a short stay as the price is affordable and it is very close to the Shin-Osaka station.

Place was a bit small and staff managed to give a upgrade and very affordable price love it.

4 rooms booked, 3 of which had black mould in the creases of the walls and around the windows, ventilation in the bathroom also did not work. Bathroom ceiling height was very low if you are 6ft or above you will touch the top of the ceiling with your head and will have to crouch/bend whilst showering.
