Great place to stay, feels like you're in the mountains near Poas and close enough to the capitol city of San Jose. Easy access to the area without the busy hustle of a populated area or the city. Great service at the restaurant and delicious food.

We stayed at Casa Villa for one night on our way to La Fortuna with our family of five. We had to book two cabins, but they were adorable with a loft-like design. The bedrooms were upstairs, while the ground floor had a small living area.
The on-site restaurant served great food, and the staff was wonderful. The only downside was the location right next to the road, so the noise from trucks and cars driving by throughout the night was quite loud.

This was a beautiful property with hiking trails on-site. The restaurant was excellent with fair prices. Breakfast included was top notch. The cabin was cozy and had a fireplace stocked with wood and a fire starter kit. The only issue we had was the bed was extremely firm.

It’s lovely! The staff are so kind, friendly and helpful. The food is great in the restaurant. The rooms are lovey and clean and cosy. The resident peacocks are a bonus as one did his display for us shaking his tail and looking glorious!
The hummingbird feeders outside the cabins is a nice touch. Thank you.

We had the pumpkin and tomatoe soup and sea bass - perfect!! The breakfast is also fantastic. Wish the weather had been better because views and property looked wonderful. Great location - easy trip to airport …. Staff is extremely helpful.

However, our cabin (#14) was more rustic than the description led me to believe. If you like that, and you don't mind the smell of a well used fireplace, then I recommend Villa Calas wholeheartedly. Although the shower was quite large, the rest of the bathroom was uncomfortably cramped. The mattress was very firm and could benefit from a padded topper. The worst thing for me was the very strong smell of burned wood in the fireplace that gave the whole cabin a stuffy, smokey smell. The place was redeemed, however, by the restaurant, exceptionally accommodating and helpful staff, and the beauty of the surroundings.

Cute cabins nestled in the clouds. Great staff and delicious food. Really enjoyed walking in the cloud forest and around the cow farm.
