Non smoking room smelled like stale smoke

A lot of stores around the property. Surface parking at my room door. Layout of my room.

Cobwebs everywhere. Carpet stick to your shoes, never shampooed. Shower liner has stains. The room smelled. People hanging out around your room, loud in their room, and outside.

We originally had a room in which the heat did not work. We were given a new room which was great.

Convenient to the Doctors office. Didn't have to drive through a ice storm

Our second stay here for my daughter's volleyball tournaments. Very nice staff, clean room, easy access to room from parking lot and close to our destination.

It's just a little outdated, but that's not necessarily a negative or something we didn't like.

clean and comfortable

It's close to many fast food places and restaurants and also not too far from walmart and other stores. The staff is very friendly and they get you to your room quickly. The room was comfortable, beds were soft and the AC/heat worked great. The TV was nice and big and the cable connection was strong. There was plenty of space in the "kitchen" area to put your groceries, the fridge was the normal mini fridge size, but it keeps the food nice and cold and actually keeps your frozen items frozen. Price is also good, you get what you pay for and a little extra. It doesn't have as many amenities as a hotel would, but it's great if you're just looking for a place to eat, sleep and hang out during your trip.

The Wifi was very spotty, had to use data on our phones most of the stay. Don't know if that was because of the cold weather or the placement of our room because all our previous stays the Wifi has been great. Also the parking spot associated with our room was down a flight of stairs and pretty inconvenient. We ended up leaving the car running in the lot near our room, taking in our luggage/groceries and then parking. It was especially hard finding where the parking spot was after checking in, even with the directions the front desk staff gave us. Even so, this was the first time we had these issues and we'll definitely be staying here again the next time we're in Rockford.

The price and location.

The smell. We had a no smoking room but it smelled like smoke anyway, like someone tried to mask the smell but it just smelled worse. My husband has asthma and I have bad allergies.

the facility is very dated but the staff was nice and the room was clean and decent.

As always, my trip to Rockford wouldn't be complete without a stay at the Alpine Inn. Great little motel for a great price.

Liked everything. Great place and value is awesome.
