The breakfast available was a disappointment. We were told the option out of three we wanted was not available leaving us with a continental or buffet choice which was overpriced and full of carbs. Also, our waiter was not prompt leaving everything to the other waitress to take care of. When the tip is already included there is no incentive to please.

It was close to the beach and walking distance to restaurants

I wasn't happy that we were placed across the way in the "Courtyard' rooms. I'm disabled, requested a lower floor and unable to climb stairs. This was noted in my reservation. They were outdated in everyway with dirty carpeting. This was an anniversary trip for my husband and I and it DID NOT meet our expectations for the amount of money we spent! We definitely should have booked our trip to Cancun. To be charged daily for room cleaning is ridiculous considering COVID19. The pool closing at 8pm was a bummer as well not to mention the beach chairs were taken away as well at 5pm daily.

Ocean front ????? slider.. rest of wall was solid.. so room layout was backwords...bed and table need to be in front of slider not the furniture elevators were rediculous

Was locked out on skywalk trying to return to main lobby key cards did not work. Was offered a free drink at the bar however the selection was subpar. The bathrooms were filthy and the overall cleanliness was wanting.

the "oceanfront" balcony was a joke. It was ocean front but so tiny you couldn't sit there, if I was any more pregnant than I am I wouldn't have been able to even stand there. There were roaches in my room. There is a $45/night charge for parking there that I wasn't aware of til check in. Also, they double charged me for parking and I have called about 8 times to get the money returned and they still have not returned my money almost a month later. The staff was very friendly, but that's the only positive thing I can say about this place. WAAAAAY too expensive for what was offered.

After a debacle at another hotel, upon my arrival, I found the Bahia Mar. Right from the beginning, the hospitality was warm and welcoming. Because I had just booked the room on the booking app, my reservation wasn't showing in their system. The young lady at the desk took her time and found it, and it was nothing but good times from that point on. They made every penny spent worth it. Easy access to the beach, the pool area was always clean and even the staff there were very nice. I always saw someone cleaning the areas of the hotel and being accommodating. The restaurant staff took very good care of me as well. I was just overall pleased with this hotel.

Checkin took an hour with only one person in front of us. Computers down. No room keys. Security let us in room and then locked out the rest of the night until keys could be figured out. Front staff was lost and confused with no plan B implemented by the hotel. Valet took 20 minutes upon arrival. Total chaos. Missed the wedding that we came there for. Extremely upsetting.
