Staff was so nice and welcoming. Not many guests when we stayed and we got to view all the vacant rooms. So fun! Really good breakfast too! Lots of backing in back.

It’s in a nice neighborhood. The staff and their services are 5-star. The breakfast was exceptional. The bed is supper comfortable
The fan inside the room is a bit noisy while it’s running but it doesn’t affect our sleeping.

The house itself is worth a visit. It is like a museum of American history. The breakfast was amazing. It consisted of bread, eggs, hamburgers, fresh fruit, yogurt and more.
The (mobile) air conditioner in my room was too loud.

Impeccably clean, comfortable and decorated like an antique castle. Breakfast was delicious, eggs tasted real, not like the bland cardboard normally served at “free” hotel breakfast.

Love the atmosphere, the coziness of the rooms, the individual attention to details.
Loved everything, but was disappointed that the fireplace in our room was fake. I chose the room because it had a fire place and was disappointing it didn’t say it was fake in the description. But everything else was awesome. Just wish the fireplace was a real electric or gas fireplace.

Truly the best stay anywhere I have ever had. This will forever be a yearly stay for our large family of 8. Thank you Steele Mansion and all the staff for being life family to us. Truly best place ever.

the whole place is stunning. modern comforts with historic feel. The staff was so friendly. Each room and bathroom were huge and decorated well. breakfast was good. It was buffet style so hearty with lots of options but nothing special.
There isn’t anything I didn’t like. I would definitely stay there again

The rooms each have a unique theme and are decorated according to the theme. Rooms are HUGE!!!! The antiques were beautiful. Breakfast was tasty and the young man who worked in food service was so accommodating. The staff were ALL understanding and kind (but I wouldn't expect anything less from Painesville).

The Steele Mansion is probably the most beautiful place I have stayed in while traveling. The place was incredibly clean, not sure how they keep it that clean, and beautiful!! You could spend an entire day just wandering through the mansion and seeing all the history it holds. The staff was amazing in every way and made our anniversary trip enjoyable. The owner is knowledgeable about the area and for such a small town, there is tons to do. We will be making this a regular trip for our anniversary. Thanks so much for the wonderful stay!
